Didn't have anything fancy tonight, and it certainly looks crappy to what's been posted here today, but damn if it didn't hit the spot. It was just a cheap crappy casserole, but it was easy and tasted decent.

Looked like crap on the plate, so I just got one on the stove.

Very little work. But I do style the food on the plate and add mats and I have different kinds of cloth napkins. That really changes appearance. The shot takes me a bit of time. I shoot with flash and without and from different angles to get best one. If I don't like it, I have redone it or just put nothing up.

I just used medium salsa, peanut butter, some coconut milk, chicken and peanuts. Added red pepper and zucchini just before done so they wouldn't be soggy.

You can use hot salsa too. I don't care for it too hot. It's called Thai Chicken. I eat brown rice mostly.

Wow, you've been stepping up your culinary game. Very impressive man. Keep it up.

Good looking pics BEP. I will be showing up for the Christmas dinner next year. Hope you don't mind. :D

I can't plate like that, no matter what I tried to do.

Thank you. We need our farmers as well as our artists. Everyone has a role and a special ability.

That makes me want to make a tuna casserole tomorrow. I think I can hold that down. I love casseroles.

Looks good man. Is that over the grill or in the oven?

Thanks.

The outside grill has a rotisserie. When it's this cold, I run the rotisserie on half-gas and the two outside burners 3/4s of the way up. Takes about 1.25 hours, and the hot spit makes the cooking all the better..

I may try it again with the starch and in the oven, since my family liked it quite well. I only used half the duck fat, so the duck will stretch to a fifth day. :thumb:

Did you do the Cook's Illustrated version of stacking, where you make the bottom look pretty and then just kinda mash everything else in place? LMAO

Backoff bitch, I asked first for that dinner invite!

BucEyedPea 01-05-2015 06:43 PM

I'm still waitin' for my chicken soup to be shipped. I am sicker than ever today!

GloryDayz 01-05-2015 07:09 PM

I swear to God if the Chefs ever go to a SB this crew is going to rent a hall in downtown KC and we're going to cook, grill, and smoke (meat) our asses off for the rest of this board to stop in and enjoy.

Well, if we don't blow more cash on attending the SB!

You don't want mine. I could have my mom get you some, but hers is rich and hearty if you're looking for a broth, hers ain't it.

Get better boss.

GloucesterChief 01-05-2015 07:30 PM

I had a leftover black peppercorn pork chop and some salad.

GloryDayz 01-05-2015 07:33 PM

Remember those steaks I had more than a few of and cooked-up? Yeah, one down! The older son have his four wisdom teeth yanked to I didn't want to cook anything that he could smell (he's totally hungry!!), so I just nuked it and dug in...
