ChiefsPlanet - Chiefs Let's talk about the 49ers (Super Bowl Edition)

I have seen the Chiefs schedule. I'm not impressed.
You have not seen the 49ers pass rush . It's relentless like not many others in the league.

All I am saying is if a person believes SPEED is why the Chiefs will dominate the 49ers Defense then they really have not been paying attention to the 49ers.

If the Chiefs wait for the SPEED's long routes to develop then good luck .

I see Mahomes throwing most of his passes while running outside of the hash marks . I don't believe any QB can win a game doing this for 60 minutes. Russell Wilson tried it and he is sitting at home for this one.

If the Chiefs pass Defense can hold up then it will be a tough game for the 49ers to win.

Tyreek, Sammy, and Mecole all have that insane change of direction ability you want to see. Sammy is not quite as fast as the other two in a straight line, but his change of direction and YAC ability is incredibly strong.

Mahomes is probably the best in the world at that stuff, including Russell Wilson (who is awesome at that stuff). You haven't watched much of Mahomes so you simply don't know how effing good he is at throwing on the run and seeing ALL ANGLES around the field...his vision is flat out insanely good. And he's packing a stronger arm than Russell.

Your best bet is to try to keep him in the pocket. Then collapse the pocket on him.

Yeah, the Rams certainly had success with that strategy last year.

I mean, the Chiefs still put up 50 points in a straight shootout...but they made it hard on Mahomes.

You do realize that KC only had 3 fewer sacks than the 49ers this year, right? (And that is with Clark playing injured over half the season and Chris Jones missing some games)

You do realize that means that Patrick Mahomes has practiced against a pretty stout passrush on a daily basis the past two years, right?

This isn't anything new to the Chiefs.

What you are about to see is a veritable track team that has excellent route running skills and a QB with a howitzer for an arm that no amount of "technique" can stop.

Watching that week 17 49ers/Seahawks game on NFLnet again.

MAN, did Seattle get robbed at the end of that game.

MAN, did SF get lucky. Lucky to win and get the #1 seed...and lucky that they didn't have to play Seattle again.
