Omenihu is fine, but I don't really get the love here. I'd love to keep him but I'd imagine he's gonna want more than KC is willing to pay.

Him and Hollywood would do well to take another 1 year prove it deal here |

George has given good production and is young enough to improve but I would still listen to trade offers.
Anybody have a guess what we might get in a trade for George? |

Because to one extent I agree with you but disagree to another. As a complementary rusher, I think Karlaftis is better than Omenihu. But as a primary edge, I think Omenihu is better than GK. In other words, if you need one of those guys as your #2 rusher, I'd rather have Omenihu. But if you need one of them as your #3 rusher, I'd rather have GK. And I can't quite figure out why I think that. But I think it's because GK's unending motor REALLY plays up as a 3rd rusher. But as a 2nd rusher, some of his physical limitations are exposed. Whereas Omenihu has a broader set of rush tools which makes him a better bet to win outright with less help around him. But he DOESN'T have that ridiculous motor from GK so if he DOESN'T win outright, he's less impactful. I don't think either guy is 'better' than the other. I think they fit best in different roles. |

Allen doing what he did is ridiculous. And Bonitto being on that list is one thing, but the impact he has had on every single Broncos game I've watched is another. What Denver has gotten out of the DL this year is remarkable. It reminds me a lot of that first Cullen season where we just saw a massive turnaround in the DL. |
Yeah not liking what Denver is doing there. That’s the best DL in football. Sucks to admit that but it’s true. Jamar Cain got there in 2023 with Sean Payton and since then has developed Zach Allen, Nik Bonitto and Jonathan Cooper.
Then they trade for John Franklin-Myers and he has a career high 7 sacks. The got their own version of Karlaftis in rd 3 in Jonah Ellis who has 5 sacks. Goddamn |
John Franklin-Myers was a guy I figured should've been better than he was anyway.
That feels less like the Broncos making him better than it does the Jets just making him worse. JFM was one of those guys I kinda wanted us to go after when the Jets looked to be dumping him. The only real good news is that all of those guys need new deals. Allen -- Due $19 million in 2025 with some void money afterwards. He's likely to be extended at a big figure JFM -- due $10 million in 2025 and then a UFA. Bonitto -- enters the last year of his rookie deal next year. Cooper signed an extension last year but hits the real money years starting in 2025 with an $11.3 million cap hit next season and about $14 million/season for the 3 years thereafter. He'd already broken out a bit in 2023 so his deal is pretty commensurate with his production at this point. It could've been worse. I mean it's by no means ideal since they have a viable QB on a rookie deal so they can probably retain all those guys. But at least most of these guys are due to get paid AFTER they break out rather than before. |
Micah Parsons will look good in KC red next year.

And you're speaking O.City's language -- he's wanted to give up multiple 1st round picks for Young for 3-4 years now... Yeah, Young would be a really good get. If we don't bring back Omenihu, Young would absolutely be at the top of my list. |
This is my game.
