Picked up The Calling for my annual IPA purchase, chilling in the fridge... expecting big things after reading this thread, passed up Single Wide.
And also the only Yeti Espresso they had, my true love. And a port, because I'm going to try to taking the night off to watch some hockey, goddamnit. |
The Calling rules. It's in the style of Heady Topper moreso than any West Coast IPA. The leap that Boulevard made from being almost uninterested in IPAs (Double-Wide was outmodded even before it was released & Single-Wide is a not-as-good Two Hearted) to putting out The Calling is pretty significant.
