Ohminihu has been pretty vocal on socials about how he thinks he should be payed. I hope you are right but not convinced he will take any kind of bargain deal.

He'll have to go into the market and if he's retained, we'll have to do so in a competitive bid environment (or if the market just doesn't come together for him).

If he's not back, someone as good or better has to be brought in. We can't do this again next season. Jones can't continue to shoulder this kind of burden.

Really like CO, I wanted us to trade for him from the Texans. I’d love to retain him. But I think our only hope is that a market doesn’t materialize.

He’s not going to get some crazy offer in FA. He hits the market and we should be able to retain his services. Especially after the suspension and then injury.

He’s a difference maker and will be worth more than his actual market value if he’s able to stay out of trouble/the tub.

Hendrickson never had anywhere near the same start to his career that George has had. Neither did Omenihu and both are studs now. Putting George in a box when the kid just 23 years old isn't logical.

I don't think Omenihu is gonna demand to be the highest paid DE out there. Hopefully he can be fair and meet Veach in the middle. Especially after not even playing a full season with us in his two years here. He's missed eighteen games thus far.

Wonder what's going on with BJ Thompson. I watched game 17 vs Chargers last year a couple times, and when he came in during the 3rd quarter he actually looked like he might have potential. I'm not one of our resident FAU-haters, but I will say that BJ looked a lot better than Felix did in that game.

Still dealing with the major health scare he had in training camp. Good that we can sit him for a year and still have him on a rookie deal.

It doesn’t matter what he demands. It matters what the market deems as his value.

When he hit FA 2 years ago, he was only able to get a 2/20 prove it deal and promptly got suspended then blew out his ACL. His value hasn’t increased much, if at all during his time here.

If someone wants to offer him 20m aav, he’s likely gone…but I’m sure BV will fight to keep him and understands his importance to this defense.

I think we'll just have to wait him out and hope we can get something along the lines of 3/$36 done.
