But with 11 drops we still only lost by 1 pt and that was with a gift 6 from Toney. |

As far as OBJ, I dunno. Burrow isn't Mahomes and Taylor isn't Reid. They're probably going to push harder to continue to do the shit that will let Chase, Higgins and Boyd stretch the defense. As well they should. If they have to help Brown on every passing down, that very much limits their capacity. Quote:
Well done sir. You got a good chuckle out of me. |
Burrow was blitzed a league low 15.6% last year.
Browns yesterday (with a new DC) blitzed him 38%. Burrow was 2/11 for 16yds. Niiiiiice.... |

Funny, never seen Joe Burrow (JB) and Jim Bruer (JB) in same room before...

The OL was so bad that there wasn’t much talk about burrow not looking completely right. I think there was footage of him rolling his knee around on the sideline with a trainer. Those two in combo are not a great sign. If he was rushed back that really impacts his mobility and makes him an injury risk

Myles Garrett is an uncaged wild animal out there. JFC

Garrett, Parsons, and Bosa are just so fun to watch. |
Higgins had 8 targets and 0 catches. Burrow’s jump ball luck ran out and they couldn’t even score a TD. Such a shame.

He’s a good second WR, but he doesn’t unlock things the way that the trio does. Teams can solve for Chase and Boyd. |

Tyreek Hill has that effect. Looks like he's playing down from a higher league. LMAO |
Orlando Brown Jr per PFF: 14 pressures and 2 sacks allowed

Yeah, that number is bullshit. PFF has him with 3 total pressure.

Granted, from what I saw he probably got beat more often than that, but the other OL were giving up their pressure even faster. Their entire line had a Pass Block Win Rate of 30% yesterday according to ESPN.

I saw it all over Twitter from several people. Not just Chiefs fans.
But I wonder why PFF doesn't record OT's getting help from chip blocks or TE's? The Bengals helped Orlando on nearly every passing down yesterday |
The Browns front 7 is no joke.

I don't need PFF to tell me anything about OBJ. He's an average at best LT. We all have seen enough.

The Watts and Garretts of the world are quick enough to chase Burrow down from behind when he and they are both sprinting full speed. That's why he has so much trouble with them. With Chris Jones Burrow is JUUUUSST about 3/4 of a step faster than him so if he sees him coming and has any distance whatsoever he can get away. Garrett chases him down like a wolf attacking a rabbit.

That’s honestly where he belonged. MVP is a stats award. His are always great but not elite |

If the Bengals have a problem this year it's not OBJ, it's that the entire line is pants, and in particular the LG. OBJ has gone from having Thuney next to him to having Cordell Volsen. I do think that Browns DL is elite and they won't be half as bad down the road. But it's crazy it's STILL a potential problem for them.

They’ve got the Ravens next week as well.
I think I’m going to root for the Bengals in that one just so that they’re both 1-1 (and hopefully the Chiefs are too). Then I’ll root for the Ravens later on in the year so they split. |

Let's be honest, a lot of you guys have been Burrow ballwashers in level-headed threads. I never have or will understand propping up a non-dynamic guy like him whose success is both grossly overstated and reliant on his WRs and D more than any other QB.
That said, I was sticking with Allen on body of work and ability to create out of nothing, so I'll eat my crow since he's apparently regressing mentally, not progressing. So heck, I dunno who QB2 is. I do know the gap to Mahomes has never been wider. It might be unlike anything in history tbh. Not trying to be extreme, just can't remember a clearer chasm between the top guy and the next tier, at least in my 20 odd years watching. |
At least Joe Drrrrrrr got paid. It will make his season ending injury a little more tolerable.
That line is ****ing DOGSHIT. |
