Foles is bad
|
When Alex has similar stats this year this post is so getting bumped
|
All he does is win in KC. I'll take that.

Chiefs need to draft a qb very soon is what I took away from this game
|
I swear it was like Reid Neutered Foles as the game went on. The sack where west was open coming out the back fiield and the receiver on top had a couple steps on the defender deep and he didn't let it go. Earlier in the game he would have chunked it.
|
Alex is the current best option and it should be clear now.

Well, I guess that answers that.

But Smith gets it done in a cleaner and less risky manner |

I'll still take Foles.

Today is exactly why Foles is the backup.

The longest drive today was 38 yards. I mean, come on!

Welcome back to planet earth everyone. This team needs Smitty
|
Unequivocally no. Lock this thread down.

DJ and I detailed his failings all week yet the loudmouths ignored it. Typical. |

You can't win consistently when your QB throws low percentage passes all the time. All Foles wants to do is make the big play. Shit's stupid, especially when you have a great defense to back you up.
He's a solid backup but Alex is the man for the job. |

We also don't need any WR help. |
Quote:
He holds the ball way too long and refuses to take wide open check downs to convert first downs. He is far less accurate than Smith in the intermediate windows. |

Longest drive was 38 yds...holy shit.

Not getting there with Foles. |
So the interesting question becomes had Dorsey not signed Foles and Bray started today, would Bray have performed better ?
|
Nick Foles is who we thought he was.
Alex Smith has a mind meld with Andy Reid, and that was obviously missing today. Weird though how much better the offense has looked this year with Ehinger in there. |

Where was that great defense at today? |

People really ignored the flaws with Foles that were very visible today, after the Colts win.
|
No

Do you know how ****ing stupid it sounds for you to even say that? Gosh all we would have done is scored 7 more points in a game decided by 1 score. |

Alex Smith is the best QB on this roster and it's not even close. |

To be the man, you gotta beat the man and Foles didn't do that today.

It would be a tough call if Foles was a sound player, but it's his 5th year in the league and he still does the same old shit. He's a backup caliber player. |

First off, the Chiefs didn't play the Jets today. That's an apple to orange comparison. Secondly, everyone knows your personal bias against Smith, so your opinion is even more worthless than usual. Finally, I understand that some people would like to have a QB on the level of Brady or Rodgers or Brees or Rivers. But Nick Foles ain't that. Not even close. |
Where's the start bray crowd?
|
Nope.

Not Case Keenum. Cut Nick Foles. |

The combo of them being barely passable, along with being in a huge market all of a sudden, definitely made for ripe power move up the draft conditions. |
Quote:
He acted like he was playing Madden in the first half, in that half he had two genuine beauts with one going for 6... and then a bunch of WTF? You cant run a consistent offense using the Sexy Rexy Method... sometimes the best play is the 8 yard throw, or yes... even the checkdown |
Quote:
That should be very telling, in and of itself. |
Not.
by. a. mile. |
So a happy medium between Smith and Foles would be ideal then, right?

Foles doesn't check enough and i'm the one who complains too much? :) |

And Brady still runs a WCO In my opinion and he does quite well in it. Brady's my quarterback in my fantasy football league, (Big payout) so im watching him ALOT, dude checks down alot more than anyone ever talks about, and he also does alot of those WR screens and RB screens, just like us... Just saying. |

2-0 in his two games this year. All he does is win.
So what's the problem, hypocrites? |

Dont check down too much Dont go Sexy Rexy too much Hate to say it, but at this point I'm more comfortable with an Alex Smith that tries to push it downfield a little more |
