BigRedChief 10-06-2014 10:05 PM

The batted ball luck is off the charts towards the Dodgers this game.

I swear to God if the Royals ever spent $400M (they can't, and won't) I'd stop cheering for them

what a ****ing joke

the Dodgers have totally made me remember how much I used to hate the Yankees back when they bought everyone

**** the Dodgers

I love watching them lose almost as much as I'm loving watching the Royals win. I wish nothing but AIDS to that team...

they represent everything wrong with baseball

I hate the Dodgers so much I'm cheering for the Cardinals...which I've never done in my life, either.

I would LOVE a STL/KC WS, though. I'll be honest. I can go to those games in STL.

But I respect the Cardinals. They are a GREAT organization. Everyone should envy them. THEY DO IT RIGHT.

The Dodgers? **** them. THEY DO EVERYTHING WRONG. I hope they choke on an AIDS dick in every postseason from here until the end of time. I'm sure Erv could help me out with this.

Brought up on the post game show within 1 minute.

Major props to Lackey tonight. He held up his reputation as a big game playoff pitcher.

O.city 10-06-2014 10:26 PM

Wacha's got a Kershaw scalp on his wall, maybe Shelby can get one tomorrow.

kcpasco 10-06-2014 10:28 PM

Kershaw on 3 days rest. Mattingly better hope that doesn't backfire.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-06-2014 10:28 PM

Don't poke the bear with Kershaw. Just hope we can put together some solid ABs and get to their pen early.

Matheny needs to be aggressive with the use of Wacha should Shelby struggle. Shelby shouldn't worry about his pitch count tomorrow. Just do what you can to get outs, by any means necessary.

yep, just one game like that in the playoffs has tremendous value.

We have Wacha for 2-3 innings, Martinez for 2 innings tomorrow in case Miller is off.

I saw a stat that showed he has done well on 3 days rest.

What are the chances that we beat Kershaw in the playoffs 4 games in a row?

Let's have the Royals worry about the WS. They're a lot closer than we are at this point. Just win the next game.

True.

I've got 2 green seats for tomorrow but I couldn't justify shutting down the office.

Hopefully they play again at Busch

When I had tickets to the Cardinals clinching game in 2006, tickets were $400-$600 for get in the door tickets. Lower bowl were at least $1000.

My dad's boss has 4 green seats every season. Thankfully, dad turned down game 6 tickets because he didn't want to make th drive and I had some stupid test that I can't remember.

Going from getting picked off base to end a World Series to hitting the winning home run in a NLDS the next year.:thumb:

Well no matter what happens tomorrow, Waino gets another chance to prove he is not a choker.

that's rich

how in god's name can someone call Waino a choker after the Cardinals WS win where he was a pivotal part in that entire 2006 WS?

oh, this is the same fan base who thought LaRussa was a shit manager and Holliday a shit player.

True. This fan base is pretty sickening at times. They act like this team is some kind of super underdog lol note not talking about the gents in this thread

We are 1 win from our 4th straight NLCS. No reason to bitch about that track record of post season performance.

Hootie 10-06-2014 11:40 PM

I hate the Cardinals because, no offense to you guys, but the people I know in Champaign that are Cardinals fans are the worst ****ing fans known to man. I hate them so much.

But the Cardinals, as a franchise, is unbelievable. I envy them. They do it right, no doubt.

Kershaw has done it before, he has thrown less pitches this year then he has since his 2nd year in the league. Remember Kershaw missed 6 starts earlier in the year. He hasnt pitched over 112 pitches all season. Hell even on his no hitter he only threw 106 pitches.

This isnt the first time he has pitched on 3 days rest. We will see, this is what superstars get paid for.

Wong plays.

Puig is benched.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-07-2014 12:17 PM

Pig is a joke. No reason to ever throw him a strike.

KC_Connection 10-07-2014 01:07 PM

Mattingly benching Puig is a level of stupidity that I can't even fathom. He was the 11th best hitter in baseball this season by wRC+ right between Miguel Cabrera and Buster Posey.

Just an absolute moron. I hope the Cardinals play their part in ending his managerial career tonight.

'Hamas' Jenkins 10-07-2014 02:14 PM

Even with eight K's, other than Kemp, Puig is the last guy in the lineup I want to face. He's hit better than Gordon, Crawford, and Uribe, and he's a good, albeit stupid, defensive outfielder.

I'm and I think most Cardinal fans are glad he is out of the lineup. Really stupid move with a young guy who has issues with controlling his emotions.
