Heh. He should have said "Since I blew the position up by letting Carr go, corner is a big area of need for the Chiefs..."

I saw last night his comment on how Alex Smith is a good fit for the Chiefs...makes me hate the move that much more.

Molitoth 02-28-2013 08:36 AM

Blowing 2 draft picks on Alex Smith, letting Albert/Bowe walk, and drafting Joekel #1 overall are the moves Scott ***** would have made this year.

Lets see what Reid/Dorsey do...

Strike 1.

Actually, Pioli seems to have a hard-on for Nassib and his leadership ability. I think Scott would have draft a LT at #1 and drafted Nassib at #34 if he made it there. No way to know for sure, of course, but that is my impression from the comments he has made on NFLN.

Crackhead Beach Tribe claims he didn't say that Tyson Jackson would "be awesome" and that since his wife is an oncology nurse, Eric Berry's recovery shouldn't be unexpected.

It was pretty easy to hate the Jackson pick, but much more difficult to be objective and say, "If Scott Pioli can't be trusted to not make an idiotic selection like this, then why is he an improvement from Carl Peterson?"

I stuck by Pioli until the end of 2010. And I'm embarrassed to say so. He promised he'd make the trains run on time.

But if we want to base off of 2015, Jonathan Baldwin is the worst 1st round pick of the last 30 years.

Some people still suck off Pioli for his Houston pick. He deserves no credit for the Berry pick. A monkey couldn't be dumb enough to not take Berry in that situation.

But of the last 30 years Pioli did indeed have 2 of the 4 worst picks for this franchise.

It's going to take a miracle for all three moves to work out. It's not likely at all. Stupid decisions were made this offseason. That's all there is to it.

In all this talk about "safe" picks and doing the "safe" thing we ended up with the most unsafe circumstances.

It's far more likely that Sanchez will be an elite NFL QB and that Dorsey will thrive in a 4-3 than it is that the Chiefs move to the 3-4 and Cassel will work out great.

Geno was a dream. And compared to the other crap we had to pick from at the top of the 2013 draft class, a dream is a better use of the #1 overall pick than a fat pussy from a MAC school.

And hey... we've still got the longest streak for not drafting a 1st round QB, and our playoff winless streak hasn't gone away yet. We may as well have killed one of those embarrassing shitstain streaks on our franchise's record.

The whole point, post-Alex shit-stain trade, was to spend the pick on a developmental prospect and not throw him in to the fire.

But the great minds at CP tell me that you can't take a QB at 1.1( post 2011 rookie agreement even! ) AND NOT IMMEDIATELY START HIM!!!!!

Agreed. This thread, for the most part, was complete fail. I bumped a few quotes because they were hilariously wrong, not in an attempt to "prove" something.

The sad part is that while a few people were "right" about Jackson being over drafted and having a mediocre at best career, sadly, that seems to be more of a theme rather than an anomaly for Chiefs first round selections as of late.

To this day... if I give Pioli more than just a cursory thought, while flipping though my mental memory book of Chiefs history, I still feel anger/hatred course through me.

The only thing better than him being fired would have been if Clark had been able to fire him "with cause" and invalidate the rest of his contract instead of the buyout that actually took place.
