Sports complex would be perfect for an Amazon warehouse or something similar. It's just a shitty piece of land for retail real estate development. There is a reason why the entire area is an industrial park.

Let’s go catch some drinks at the Adams Mark after the game guys.

Casino won't help development in that area. They are dying a slow death in the metro. Harrahs and Ameristar are ghost towns even on weekends and look ratty and unkept.

The best part about the location of Arrowhead is right now it feels like it's no more than 30 minutes from anywhere in the metro. And not having a ton of other crap around it helps with getting in and out.

That ain't happening out there

Don't forget Denny's and Dreary Inn. Is the Denny's still there?

I'd like to see Kauffman taken down and Chiefs build a new stadium on that site while also building the sliding detached roof.

THEN when the new stadium is built, they take down all the 300 section of the old arrowhead leaving just the lower level and suites. Then make it the NEW Practice facilities. Would be great to see the team practice on old arrowhead.

This would dramatically increase one of the lowest player rated practice facilities in the NFL.

Chiefs could also keep admin at the old arrowhead which should lower costs on the new stadium OR just make more room for fancy suites.

Chiefs could still host many events on the old, now smaller, stadium.

That's actually a pretty good idea.

What happened there? Economy? They used to be so popular

I've been to the casinos recently. The problem is there just isn't enough around it. The only thing to do there is lose money. Like, they don't have nice restaurants and cool bars. It's just miles of the new kind of slots that feel somehow even less loose. Young people aren't going there, it's all asian grandmas.
