X-rays negative but does that mean anything in regards to the achilles ?

Yeah, but you'd think there would at least be some possibility of a broken bone. If it's a suspected ruptured achilles do they typically order x-rays?

I don't think you can see soft tissue with an x-ray. They'll need to do an mri for that

If blew his Achilles you can tell that by feeling it.
