This.

Petro first mentioned it like 3 weeks ago, after the Buffalo game. I don't listen every day but that's the furthest back I can remember.

I always look to Soren Petro for accuracy. Oh, and Chris Broussard.

I know! It's almost like paying for premium content except when Petro actually reports factual stories.

Just spoke to the #Chiefs and they say they do not comment on the contract status of any employees who are not players.

So Pioli may have an extension, or he might not, and the head of #Chiefs PR tells me they won't announce it either way.

If there is a silver lining in all this, it's that Pioli's consistent history of total, absolute screw ups is not likely to end. It's in his nature.

Eventually, he will make a blunder of such magnitude that Clark will have no choice but to send him packing.

The purpose of a 3-year contract extension would be to give Pioli another chance with a rookie QB.

I guess I can see the logic in that.

But still, **** him.

Yeah, eventually he'll trade for and overpay the wrong QB, or hire two bad head coaches in a row or something.

No worse than if we would have taken Sanchez or Clausen. We won't take Jones at the top of the draft. If Pioli has at least shown one thing, it's that he doesn't like to spend high draft picks on mediocre QB prospects. And now he may just have a chance to get an actual difference maker at the position.
