Meh. Not my style - I'm a collector.

Kiting works well (much better than in Origins)...until you run in to a trap. Be mindful of the surroundings. ;)

Nightmare gets a tad easier once you get home and get all your unlockable goodies.

Quietly Saul, you're one of CP's biggest geeks.

BTW, I ****ing hate Best Buy. Preordered/prepaid for the game. Stupid bitch at checkout sends me to customer service, where I wait in line nearly 15 minutes only to find out customer service is for preordered only, not prepaid. Had to go to another place in the back of the store, and the moron back there couldn't find the game. Took me over half an hour to get out of that ****ing hellhole when all I had to do was pick up something I'd already ****ing paid for.

Next time, Game Stop.

4321 Best Buy

Is that the lovely Best Buy in Aurora off of Rt 59?

Yeah, it gets much easier. Against trash mobs. And then you get cocky and reach a boss and then suddenly you're running in circles trying to figure out why all your toons have half health.

I got about 6 hours in, too, and I loved it. I didn't want to stop playing. Maybe I'm further in than I think, but it feels like I haven't done anything yet, like I'm barely started. Reached level 6 shortly before going to bed.

So far I have no idea where the story is going.

You'd think this is the worst game ever made reading the bioware forums this morning. I don't get it. I've never seen so much trolling over a game. There's been a big wave of it on metacritic, too. Professional reviews are running about 84, but the user reviews are 3.something, with dozens of 0 reviews. Really bizarre.

I'm thinking it's some organized group, a forum maybe, spamming the way ChiefsPlanet will occasionally to boost a poll a certain direction.

I suppose the only thing I don't like is the lack of inventory options for your companions. Other than that, I love it.

I never really min-maxed companions gear in games anyway, so I don't miss that. They basically wore whatever I didn't need anymore. Hard to tell how good/bad the system is until I unlock some more of their upgrades (I got one for Carver, and didn't even realize it at the time - found some kind of padding for Aveline's armor too, but I didn't buy it). You can still give them jewelry and, except for Varric, weapons, so it's really only helm/chest/hands/boots you're losing. Not that big a deal. I kind of like that they each have a unique appearance, the way that Morrigan did in DAO (I never changed her out of her gear).

Good points...it's not that big of a deal really.

TIME TO ROLL!

So how is fighting different now? Is it still just giving commands by clicking on mobs or do you actually have to do something? I'm wondering whether it would be better on a console or should I just get this for the PC?

You can still queue special attacks, but pressing "A" will result in a standard attack -- pressing "A" up to 3 or 4 times will chain a combo -- unlike the last one where it just puts them in a attack state.

Oh ok, cool, thanks man. So I'm guessing you can just do the same thing with PC by just clicking the mouse 3 or 4 times for the combo.

I can't imagine choosing console over PC on either of the Dragon Age games, but that's just me. It looks pretty fantastic with the high quality texture pack, if you have a video card that can handle it. I can't really speak to how combat works on the console version, but it's not much different from DAO on PC. Characters just do what you tell them to do a lot faster.

I'm really not sure, man. I'd go the PC route if you have a vid card that can run it (with DX11)

I don't even have a DX11 video card (Radeon 4890) and it looks outstanding.

I played the demo on PS3 and couldn't imagine playing the game like that...it was just too cumbersome and weird. JMO, though. If your PC can run it smoothly...get it on PC.
