You're a huge KU fan...weren't you there? It was pretty easy to see with your own eyes the last couple years.

One headline, one man's opinion.

It was a huge game. An important game. But not the best win in the history of the program.

If Missouri wins the Big 12 title that year and then plays for the national title? Yes, you can put it up there.

But with the way that season worked out, it is less important than winning the Orange Bowl, winning the Sugar Bowl, or beating Nebraska in 2003.

That 2003 win is the linchpin of the Pinkel era at Mizzou. I'd argue that without that win, nothing that we've seen Mizzou accomplish since comes to fruition.

I'll admit I was hoping mu and a and m would do well in the sec. It just proves how good the big 12 is.

I was at the 2003 Neb game, as well as the 07 KU game and the one we beat #1 Oklahoma. The Nebraska win was the cream of the crop for me.

Nebraska had it coming and it was nice to score more on them that any other team in the history of the sport. It was a symbolic dismantling greater than any win Nebraska ever had over KU and the program still has never recovered.

KSU was fun and tremendously exciting with a game packed full of NFL stars but I give the nod to the OSU game.

Obviously beating Virginia Tech in the BCS was the best win of the year.

You think KU beating Nebraska is what killed their program? Wow.

Also, you're using one player, a FRESHMAN Dez Bryant, as a reason to call this a good win. Give me a break. I did look up the box score real quick though. He torched you guys. 155 of his 600 yds he had the entire season. What's that reeruned thing you guys say to Mizzou all the time??? Oh yeah...time to hang a banner.

Titty Meat 02-09-2014 08:20 PM

KU's biggest win is against Bill Callahan. That says a lot.

All I said was it was the best win during the regular season in my opinion.

Obviously it was completely overshadowed by the BCS victory six weeks later.

So you're on record here saying that KU's best win, and the one that left them deserving of an Orange Bowl selection, was beating a 5-7 Nebraska who went 2-6 in Big 12 play? Yikes.

Oklahoma State. The Nebraska win was a whitewash unlike the cornhuskers had ever seen.

First time I ever felt like Missouri could ever be more than a team that made a bowl game with 6-8 wins about 1/2 the time.

Gotcha. My bad on the confusion. Point remains though...your signature win is now against an unranked Ok St that was 7-6. That's weak sauce.

Also, Nebraska was beat by 35 (courtesy of Mizzou) and 31 (courtesy of Ok St) prior to you guys beating them by 37. I'd say they were good and primed by the time you made them a bitch.

I'm glad Nebraska could keep Gary Pinkel around for you :)

And Mizzou's win that year was in Lincoln as well.
