And he did come out of the backfield this year, you need to go watch a few Chiefs games again :P

Then again, with half the receivers not suiting up, injured, MIA, or presumed dead (Breaston), are you really surprised that he wasn't utilized out of the backfield as much in 2012 as 2010/2011? I'm not.

HE'S A WIDE RECEIVER, NOT A RUNNING BACK.

HE CAUGHT 99 PERCENT OF HIS PASSES AS A WR THIS YEAR.

STOP DEFENDING SHIT TALENT

"We" didn't take him. Oh, and go **** yourself.

I hope you've been neutered.

After him, before him, it doesn't matter, we took him. You can't sit back and play Armchair gm with "Would haves". Bottom line is we got him. And if you are a Chiefs fan "we" definitely took him. So lick my non-neutered balls and cry in some cocoa puffs.

I have absolutely no idea. I sent out a few emails to some agents I know just a few minutes ago but it's late and I've heard nothing yet.

I think he'd be a great hire and would immediately re-energize the fan base. If the front office "Does the right thing" and immediately re-signs Bowe and Albert, then kills it in the draft, Arrowhead will be rocking, regardless of whether Pioli's along for the ride.

That's his deal anyway. Coattails.

None of it matters, Reid is just gonna eat McCluster at the intro PC anyways...

You're ****ing stupid.

Do us all all a favor and go away.

The only thing "effective" about McCluster's career is that it has effectively sucked.

Don't quote me on this, but he might be the only player not named Charles, Bowe, or Moeaki to convert a first down this season. TO THE TAPE!

He runs the ball, and he catches the ball. Dexter is both, and he's been listed as a Running Back and as a Receiver, I'm not sure what the point you are trying to make is.

The point is, he caught less than 10 passes out of the backfield this year.

That's not his role anymore.

His role is sucking shit as a WR. He catches lots of passes that turn into NOTHING.

Not going away, ever. Live with it.

Let me ask you a question, are we capable of trading in our Dexter Pick for Gronkowski right now?

Because if we aren't, I'm pretty sure that means we are stuck with the Dexter selection and can no longer change it. Which means we chose him, and we get to stick with him. If he doesn't have a role in this offense, he won't be on the roster. IF he isn't a playmaker, he doesn't stay on the roster.

My god people, are you so pissed off still about where he was drafted that you deny his ability to play this game?

Really? You're just being argumentative and petty now.

Name me a single play he's made since he's been here, besides the punt return against San Diego two years ago (which was more about the Chargers shitty punt coverage than McCluster's playmaking ability).

Anyway, back to Reid; it'll be interesting to see who he would hire as DC, and if he'd stick to the 3-4.

So you're saying HE DID catch passes out of the backfield, and that you are wrong?

Thought so.

My point is, I believe thanks to some injuries and questionable roster choices this year, Dexter's role in the backfield became limited because he was having to lineup in the slot, which actually turned out to work somewhat for us, as just about every time he touched the ball it ended up as a first down, or him getting nothing because Cassel cannot place a ball properly.

We can't seriously sit here and say Dexter is unproductive when Matt Cassel and Brady 48 yards a game Quinn are your starting QB's.

Do you realize how dumb you sound?

Titty Meat 01-03-2013 12:43 AM

I figured the Chiefs would go for Reid when Clark spoke the other day. It makes sense you get to keep Donovan around who's the best businessman in the league.

49ers in 2010, right after the san diego game if I"m not mistaken.

Why the **** are we talking about mcbuster? Jesus, I leave for a couple hours and this thread goes to shit. ROFL

hawkchief 01-03-2013 12:44 AM

Dexter needs to be playing Pop Warner. He's simply not an NFL player - that's pretty obvious at this point.

Out of the 139 players who met the minimum # of catches to be counted in the average yards per receptions stat category (complied by Elias Sports Bureau), McCluster had the lowest yards per reception average (8.7 yards per reception) of any WR on the list.

McCluster was 119th out of the 139 players who had the minimum # of receptions to qualify. The 20 players below him on the list were TE's and RB's.
