ISU is overrated and it showed last night.

So is every team in the top 25 supposed to go undefeated? You're an idiot ROFL

All teams will have a couple cold nights. We rarely have nights as bad shooting as last night.

You lost to Maryland.

Good teams lose to other good teams....not average teams [at best].

(I actually screwed up the Kordell Stewart thing a while back thinking he played during the Big 12 days, but he didn't.)

Oh I see what you did there...

No that was Georgia. See you're getting all of your football and basketball losses confused.

Or is that football losses to basketball schools and basketball losses to well....everybody? Hard to keep them all straight.

Well done

As opposed to your TCU, Indiana, and Georgia shirts...

don't forget Chaminade.

They got 85 against BYU last night. Not that your team is capable of looking past anyone.

You lost to UMKC for God's sake.

And you'll be the only moron who thinks Kentucky sucks because they play a bad night at some point this year. Just give up talking basketball because you don't know what you're talking about. If you don't understand all teams have bad shooting nights you're a lost cause.

Arkansas game Friday should be good

RustShack 11-26-2014 01:00 PM

2nd worst shooting any Fred team has ever had. That's not the normal. We went over five minutes without scoring in the second half, that won't happen again this year.

You are right, average teams, like ISU, have bad shooting nights.

So is everyone ready to pour out a 40 for the impending death of UAB's football program thanks to Bear Bryant Jr's ****ery?

You're so clueless it's cute.

Didn't see any of the Iowa State game, but wow... State chucked up 27 three point shots, and nobody on the team hit more than 1.

Far be it from me to question Hoiberg, but why is your tallest player chucking up 6 shots from beyond the arc? When your best big has as many missed threes as rebounds, you've got some issues.

In essence, the school is losing money on it's football team (not shocking).

They also have trouble getting people to come out to games because their stadium is -no exaggeration- falling apart and in a rough part of Birmingham.

There's support, however, to get a new stadium built but UAB is controlled by a state Board of Trustees, comprised mainly of 'bama backers. They kill any plans for UAB to improve their station as a football school and it is very likely they'll vote to end the program in the next few weeks. From what I've read on Reddit, the U of A board killed a relatively successful NCAA-sanctioned hockey team at University of Alabama - Hunstville for no good reason so there's precedent for the board to do such a thing.

EDIT: The Alabama Board of Trustees vetoed UAB's hiring of Jimbo Fisher as head coach in spite of the fact UAB boosters were going to put up $600,000 in Fisher's salary.

It was just bad. Normally we have a lot more assists and less turnovers. Everyone was playing selfish and playing bad last night. Happened two and three years ago too non conference.. But Fred always gets it straightened out by conference play.

Also when we get our starting center in a few weeks having a better defense will help with cold nights, but we more than likely won't be this bad shooting again.

Im actually surprised how close it was with how awful we played.
