No more "play to win the draft"; two years is QUITE enough, thank you.

This ****er's more than twice as long as the Carl resigns thread. :shake:

I think people were in too much shock to type during that event.

Oh I know. It was just a joke. A jab at an idiot coach.

I mean, Pioli drafted Tom Brady in the 6th round, didn't he? That's one round higher than Thigpen.

So does that mean Thigpen is only gonna win two SuperBowls?

That's what I feel as well. BTW I'd rather trade down and get Sanchez, than stay at 3 and get Stafford, if we HAVE to use a 1st on a QB.

(This opinion may change after combine performances.)

No, its an honest Q. Pioli is being hailed around here as The Answer and he stumbled upon the Pats' greatest player when Bledsoe got hurt IIRC. I believe Pioli would be a great improvement over King Carl's empire but the issue facing KC now is do we draft a top 3 QB and start all over again or do we try to develop Thigpen and give him a little bit of defense to support him?

EDit: without THAT front four, he MIGHT be more inclined to blitz.

true.

How can a defense help Thigpen's accuracy?

He's a gimmick QB. You're basically going to be starting all over anyway because the next OC isn't going to run the pistol.

I believe both Sanchez and Stafford are top 3 picks, it'll just depend who the Lions like more or if they are looking for a QB in general.

That's the PPL. Thigpen is raw but has talent, athletic ability, toughness and showed some good leadership. How can a defense help? KC lost 8 games in '08 by 7 points or less, that's how. The Chiefs D is ranked #32. Do the math.

Q: why is it that most mock drafts do not have StL taking a QB with the #2 overall?

PPL?

Did you watch the games?

His accuracy from 15 yards and out was god awful.

He has athletic ability. Talent? That's very questionable.
