Funny story. I'm having lunch with sedated and Bugeater Saturday, when I get a text from Bearcat at about 1:30 telling me he might not be able to make it to the hotel (where we were meeting to carpool to the Royals game) until 3:30 and asked if that was alright. Bugeater said to tell him either pay to park or enjoy the walk...lol. A little bit later, I text him and tell him I'll let him know what's going on when we get to the hotel (everyone was meeting at about 3pm).
We all get to the hotel, I go in to check in, come out, and everyone's deciding who's riding with whom, who needs to stop where to get what, etc, and everyone's in this great big hurry. I pull off of the street onto the main road when my phone rings (it's is now about 3:10). It's Bearcat, and he's close to but not able to locate the hotel. I pull into the nearest parking lot which is right up the road from where he is, and wait for him to meet us there. He gets in and asks if we're heading to the hotel, because he could have just followed us. We said we'd just left the hotel, and it hits him that we forgot him. I say we, but I seem to be taking sole responsibility...lol. He said I was getting mod abuse. |
