Said on “41 is the Mic” that Worthy was shadowing Nagy during the open practice, asking question about different routes and talking about what routes he would have run against the various coverages. So, while he’s not “running” routes physically, he’s certainly not wasting the OTA time.

Andy said if it was a game he would go in an interview recently didn't he?
|
I'd imagine this will put him behind the curve a bit this year, especially early in the season.
|
Hate to say I told you so but that's the risk you get in drafting a skinny receiver. To be out all this time over a hamstring issue when they haven't practiced in pads yet, that is concerning. I know Worthy stayed relatively healthy in college but the NFL is a different beast. Has to be more here that we don't know.

It's alot of valuable reps he's missed, but hamstrings can linger.
Is what it is. Play the long game here. |

Chiefs started OTAs on May 20 and Worthy participated the first couple of days. He has been unavailable for roughly more than two weeks. Which for a hamstring is still a normal timeframe. But if this goes on for another couple of weeks or more, then you really start worrying. Skyy had a similar injury early on during his first training camp and he recovered quickly.

Prince was not getting starting reps with the 1sts like Pacheco was.

LMAO I remember when Darwin Thompson was tearing it up in OTAs.

Jackson Looks Good In Return To Field Jul 30, 2008 at 11:02 AM DeSean Jackson was out on the field Wednesday, getting lots of attention …in a good way. The rookie receiver/returner has been out the last two days with a hamstring strain, the same injury that kept him out for part of the OTAs in June. Jackson said the "tweak" was not that serious, so he was able to deal with it and return to action. That's where he would rather be anyway. "It's hard to not be on the field while the team is practicing," Jackson said. "I am feeling great and I'm happy to be back out here." Head coach Andy Reid was straight-to-the-point when asked on Tuesday about how important it is that Jackson is out on the field practicing. "He needs to get healthy and get back out there is what he needs to do," said Reid. "This is a challenge for wide receivers, that first year, and you have to push yourself through these things, so that's what he's working on right now." |
X Worthy > T Hill
Calling it lol |

Remember when Ladd McConkey hurt his back and it lingered for the entire season? Remember when Xavier Worthy's only injury in three years was a broken hand? You got chewed out because your opinions are dumb and wrong |

Rice dropped some passes in preseason and he's probably the best rookie WR this franchise has ever had.
People need to chill. |

When I think of WR hamstring injuries, I think of Sammy Watkins. I think of Reek. Extrememly fast athletes are more prone to hammy tweaks. Worthy's size has nothing to do with that type of injury.
|
Dude is too small for the position. We should have drafted Xavier Legette. 6'1, 220lbs. That's a durable dude!
Spoiler!
|
Checking in on this healthy Ladd I keep hearing about
Weaknesses Modest play strength could create issues in beating press. Limited production in 2023 due to back and ankle injuries. Alarming number of deep ball-tracking drops in 2022. Average acceleration driving through route stems. Anyone who has ever had back issues: uh oh! |

I mean, I guess I can understand crowning the Chargers off season champs 11 years in a row. But now we're gonna crown them OTA champs as well? How about we at least wait until camp starts before we put McConkey in the hall? |

Listening to Verderame’s pod with Doug Farrar and found an interesting note: Xavier Worthy wanted to go to Texas bc he liked what Sarkisian did to prepare Devonta Smith for the NFL.
It seems like Xavier thinks Devonta is a good comp for him |
"I knew it all along!" Is this supposed to be some kind of intelligence confirmation? The very best you could really hope to accomplish. Is that your female intuition is on point on a mostly male dominated forum.
Is this how the sex change movement got started |

Except Worthy is shitloads faster. But if he can utilize his skills as well as Smith he'll go to the Chiefs ring of honor. Imagine a guy like Devonta Smith being 165 pounds, running a 4.55, having a 78.9 speed score and winning the Heisman |

Also, Pacheco (2023) and Hunt (2018) had very very similar stats. This offense is already better in my opinion. |
This offense is sooo loaded.
With true ELITE speed from Worthy, Brown AND Hardman, teams cannot afford not to keep safeties deep and try to force us to dunk and dunk…but that opens up Rice and Kelce to gorge themselves. Defenses want to blitz the young LT…we have the pieces for one of the best screen games of recent memory. Wanna sell out to stop the pass….thiz line snd Pacheco will make you pay full price for that mistake. I just don’t see any way that an opposing defense can stop this offense. |

BUT Be ****ing prepared for Reid not to tip his hand. Especially against playoff teams. He has shown time and time again he won't fire the great guns until the playoffs. It sucks for us, especially when we do dumb shit like lose to Buffalo and Cinci. But then prison rape bitches in the playoffs. Reid is playing the long game. We need to, also. I'm here for the rape. |

I think he will start out having a better career than TYreek Hill. I mean we will use him in the offense more than we did Tyreek his first few years. Tyreel Hill was a gadget guy but I think they will have plans for Xavier to shine in this offense. |
