From what I heard I didn't catch the game Saturday , which still pisses me off, I heard we didn't play very good. So this has to be an improvement. But considering the competition and in their house, we have way to many turnovers!

If we can beat Baylor this weekend, we’re in great shape to win the conference.

After we go to Texas, we get a bit of a break in the conference.

Texas is in the middle of a brutal stretch of their schedule. They’ll possibly be out of contention within a week.

they were #20. We are #10. We are missing our all American and the projected big 12 player of the year.

Is there that much difference in talent between #10 and #20? It looked at times we were playing Missouri state level of talent.

Iowa State was playing out of their gord earlier in the year. They aren't actually good.

Based on today's game, it appears the current version of ISU has become what WVU was under Huggins for many years. They compensate for their lack of offensive talent by just trashing the game up as much as possible with pressure and hacking on the defensive end (to some success so far this year). Several of those 16 turnovers (lol) in the first half by KU would have been called fouls in another building.

Thats my reference to Missouri State under Spoonhower. He never had good Div. 1 offensive talent so he knew how to coach suffocating physical defense and make every single thing on the court difficult.

Does that mean Fran is going to start counting the deflections again?

I don’t normally believe in the “good loss”, but maybe that’s what Kentucky was.

That was definitely the preferable game to lose, since it’s mostly meaningless.

Baylor showed no ability (or interest) to stop us from scoring at the rim in transition. We settled for a few too many 3’s, but that’s fine.

If we keep getting out in transition and attacking, Baylor is in for another long half.

And Lunardi has them as a 3 seed right now. That won't happen.

Yeah, if we win Monday, then we’re probably looking at a 15-3 or 14-4 finish in the Big 12. A good showing in the conference tourney as well gets us at least a 2-seed.

We have the resume of a #1 seed. Sure we probably aren't that good but we won the games. Unfortunately predictive metrics have unfairly integrated into seeding recently.

This is about the time of year KU always gets it together and then either runs into a yeam that shoots 75% from 3 or they make the final 4
