Just a little brown sugar cube, small piece of orange and a cherry then most of the time either Bullet or Trader Joe’s whisky is is actually pretty good for how cheap it is.

I’ve had the Jeffersons. It’s nice but a bit mild (often called smooth) but not in a bad way. Depends on the price. Must be nice to have liquor in grocery stores.

Best readily available quantity bourbon if you can’t find Weller Special Reserve (was around $35 a handle here but drying up fast) I’d go with Larceny. It’s probably another $10 over the others ($35 a handle) but actually surprisingly good for the price. If used as a mixer in a cocktail I have no idea.

I ran into an acquaintance (met 3 years ago) who lives in Sweden and while discussing bourbons at Kroger, he mentioned that Jack Daniel's Black is exactly the same price in Sweden as in Indiana... I had always thought that it was really high in Glasgow but he xplained that is in public bars where they sell by the CL

This is amazing. Mas Agave from Founders. Basically a lime, margarita beer at 10% ABV. Aged in tequila barrels 8 months. JUST AMAZING.

Damn I love a good saison. Apex Predator is one of my favs I need to grab some when Im in Chicago in Sept and Ill pick some of that up too.

Ill be in town Sept 20th we may need to meet up at a beer spot. Doing a Cubs/Cards game early afternoon then should be free.

Apex Predator is great. The Off Color Mousetrap is a great spot to hit while you're into town. They're actually doing an online saison release tomorrow I plan to get in on. If you go to any Binny's in town, Afterthought will be readily available as they're distro only with no taproom. Nerds here are too busy chasing down hazy IPAs and pastry stouts to care about great saisons sitting on the shelf.

Unfortunately, I'll be in Denver on 9/20. Meeting my dad from KC and brother from Montana for a beer getaway. Enjoy Chicago. You probably know all the popular spots, but Corridor is one of my favorite brew pubs in town and they're walking distance from Wrigley.

LOOOOOOONG weekend of diving, from hot to cold, thick suit to thin suit to dry suit, lots of students and even worked on some of my own certs. My own kid got dry suit certified this weekend. We're one step closer to diving the steamers in the Great Lakes when he's old enough. YES!!!!!!!

They released a new batch of Crown Peach today and we sold 264 fifths in 7 hours. Insane.

They're going yo drop another batch in October, then go dark until March. I've got 9 bottles put back to put on eBay just before Thanksgiving. People are goofy over that shit.

What does "we sold" mean? Do you run a store?

Peach flavored Crown sounds downright disgusting. Crown with water and lemon twist is the way to do that one. Pretty sure that was an Nzoner special.

1 shot vodka

1 shot triple sec (Orange)

1 shot simple syrup

Shake over ice. Use lemon around the rim to get sugar to stick.

I'm struggling to find the right mix of product to have on hand for Sunday. There have been weeks I can move $300 worth of stuff for $600, and then nothing.

We have a guy from a neighboring dry county that comes in every week and buys 350 or more 30 packs and various pints and half pints. Moving that kind of volume, everyone has to know. I just don't know who to pay off.

Picked up one of these 64oz mini kegs as a birthday gift for a buddy. Pressurized with a C02 cartridge. Filled it with a cream ale I brewed.

It's pretty cool. I may have to get one for myself.

I think it's pretty damn good, even if it's a bit blasphemous from a Crown Royal or whiskey perspective (I'm not much of a hard liquor drinker though, so... meh).
