No one's trading for his contract, he'd have to restructure. So NO THANKS TO RAIDER players
|
McClain is an epic shitbag. Plus, he's ****ing garbage.
When focused? The guy has been focused for maybe 2 months of his NFL career. You can find better and non-crazy SILB's in the draft. |
Seriously. SILB is a position that isn't even worth the kind of headache this nut causes even if he was elite.

Man I wanted Burfict in the 6th or 7th last year

I love how Pioli is credited with the "right 53" stuff and all that press about how he scouted out how prospects treated women, etc...
And then it turns out that one of his prize finds had a pretty significant history of problems with women and ended up killing her and then himself. Of course that's all on Belcher, but let's not pretend that they were all choir boys. |

But they won the Super Bowl, surely they have elite OTs

would he have gotten whatever his demands are on the FA market if they didnt tag him?
i really doubt that. There is a reason they tagged him, because he has some value and hes never going to get what hes asking for, from any team. It sounds like it's just a bad fit between new regime and player. Though they do think hes a good player, but that's not the point. This is what Scooter should have did with Carr rather than let him walk for nothing, tagged and traded him. The regime is doing this correctly and Im the biggest Albert fan in this place |

would you have been fine with letting Albert walk in FA and getting a 3rd round comp pick next year? when there is a chance in a tag and trade you can land a 2nd rounder or some package for him? It's a no brainer, this is what you do with good players, not let them walk in FA. you get value back and make it worth it for the team. |

I think we MAY have gotten a third out of him on the tag. Maybe Posted via Mobile Device |
Oh and you stated we got nothing for him...
That's not true Posted via Mobile Device |

they could have easily sold high a year ago on Carr when teams were throwing crazy money at CBs, he got overpaid in FA. Somebody would have gave up a nice package for him this year, nobody was paying Albert the money he wants had he hit FA |

Green Bay Packers
Packers Blog The Journal Sentinel's team of Packers beat writers provide the latest news, notes and analysis Free agent ILB Brad Jones visits with Packers By Tyler Dunne of the Journal Sentinel Updated: 5:50 p.m. submit to reddit |(2) Comments Green Bay --- Don't rule out a return to Green Bay for Brad Jones. The free agent inside linebacker met with the Green Bay Packers for about an hour Wednesday at Lambeau Field. Last week, Jones had met with the Tennessee Titans. In a light-blue hooded sweatshirt, a driver brought Jones to 1265 Lombardi Ave. around 4 CST and he departed an hour later. On his way out, Jones did not stop to speak about his situation. Jones is considered one of the top free agents at his position this off-season after recording 77 tackles, four pass break-ups and two sacks last season. He supplanted D.J. Smith inside when the second-year linebacker went down with a torn ACL. And, as pointed out here, Jones rarely ever came off the field. He played 794 of a possible 801 snaps over the final 12 games, also serving as the team's lone linebacker in dime. It's been a quiet free agency for the Packers, but not at inside linebacker where A.J. Hawk took a substantial pay cut and Robert Francois re-signed to a one-year. Indications from Francois' camp were that the Packers would let the inside linebackers compete in training camp. Maybe now, the 6-foot-3, 242-pound Jones will be a part of it. It's unknown whether the Titans offered more money and/or a starting spot. Before free agency began, a market appeared to be building for Jones. His agent, Josh Wright, said eight teams had contacted him about the linebacker. His versatility is appealing to teams. Jones has played extensively both inside and outside, while also contributing regularly on special teams. Elsewhere, the Chicago Bears announced today that they were unable to reach a contract agreement with veteran Brian Urlacher. In 13 seasons with Chicago, Urlacher made the Pro Bowl eight times. “We were unable to reach an agreement with Brian and both sides have decided to move forward,” general manager Phil Emery said in a statement. “Brian has been an elite player in our league for over a decade. He showed great leadership and helped develop a winning culture over his time with the Bears. We appreciate all he has given our team, on and off the field. Brian will always be welcome as a member of the Bears.” |

Suffer any loss for the Big Win, then do what the ravens and all good teams do... rebuild through wise drafting, developing those players into something either they want to keep, or into someone other teams will pay well for, and only dipping into free agency sparingly. |
I never said I wouldnt take the bad offseason for a Super Bowl. Absolutely Id do it! Just saying wow. Theyre ripped apart unlike other SB teams

All of the nice things he's said about Albert are apparently just an attempt to up his value... its ****ing stupid, wish i could understand his reasoning.
Its almost like Albert gave him a little lip about changing positions, so Reid just said... "**** you, i'll make an example out of you the way a lot of coaches coming onto a new team do with other players, give everyone a little bit of a new sheriff in town eye opener". |
