Earlier in this thread I said that last Friday Nick had been claiming three things: 1) Clark and Pioli had their interview, 2) Clark offered Pioli the job, and 3) Pioli was just a few hours away from giving KC, the Pats, and the Browns his decision.

I also made reference to Nick getting you to post news to that effect.

Remember that little sig bet you had about the Chargers? If you look in that thread, I suggested that you be forced to keep a picture of Pioli in your sig along with the text of that completely inaccurate post of yours, with the BS info Nick was making you spread. That way, every one of your posts would be an advertisement of how much WPI sucks.

I dont know how that whole sig bet ended up, but I thought it was a funny idea. How lucky for me that when I thought of it, I was able to get my grubby little hands on a screencap of your post. I was going to include it when I posted my suggestion, but I didnt. Funny, just this morning I came across that pic and was going to delete it. I am kinda glad that I kept it.

http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/5064/liarmt4.jpg

Please note the posting date of 1/2/2009, which was indeed last Friday as I said. And also please note that even though I was talking about Nick when I listed those three items he was claiming, your post also makes reference to ALL THREE OF THEM.

I repeat, you are a liar. And you arent even a good one.

Its such a shame that you will be missing this since you have me on ignore. But hey, you have already given your last word on the subject, so what do you care?

I can smell it. I smell pubes on fire.

do you know Ron Borges(?)..he's a boston sports writer, i guess

he was interviewed in 810, said we shouldn't hire Pioli...i didn't hear it but that's the gist according to the hosts

He WAS a Boston Sports writer before he was fired for plagarism.

Whatever sports writer you hate the most, multiply by ten, and that's how EVERY Patriots fan in New England feels about Borges. He is universally despised. I'm not kidding. For whatever reason, he HATES Belichick and has been unrelenting in his criticism from day one of the Belichick era. As you can imagine, given that Belichick actually, you know, wins, this has made him very unpopular 'round here.

lol....thanks, that what I was curious about

tyton75 01-08-2009 08:06 AM

I heard most of the interview on 810 this morning with the Boston writer... he didn't seem too hi on Pioli, giving all credit to Belichek...

he said he is just the kind of guy who wants people to "want" him but will always end up going back to his "old girlfriend"

that interview took a lot of the shine off of Pioli for me, but I'm still going to be happy if we get him

the Talking Can 01-08-2009 08:07 AM

if we manage to sign Pioli while watching WPI get donkey punched hanging naked upside down from a ski lift, this will be

I was thinking about this this morning. Suppose the Kraft's told Pioli to go out and find out what his market value is, only to have him come back and have the Patriots match his top offer... hmmmm....

Mr. Plow 01-08-2009 08:29 AM

My sources high up in the local high school football team indicate Pioli contract is signed meaning he is the Chiefs GM. They are simply waiting until 3 days after Ramadan 2009 before announcing.

To be honest, this is about what he did a couple years ago, as far as I can tell.

And it may have nothing to do with the Krafts. See Dave Lane's post earlier in this thread. He may do it himself to get himself a raise. Not unreasonable.

PastorMikH 01-08-2009 08:47 AM

I realize that without the Pioli thread mergers there would be 300-400 of them on the front page, but this thread is soooo big that it's hard to find the legit info through the random bull, smack, and hype.

Anyway the thread header could be updated with important stuff for quick looking - even if it's just a post # for us to go searching for?

DT58HOF 01-08-2009 08:48 AM

Okay im still afraid the Pioli may not be the genius that we all think and hope for but what it might do by him geting the job is that Clark lets him try to go out and get some free agents and allows him to hire a big name coach right away. in my eyes im hoping for Shanahan if not MARTY.. Yeah i said it!!
No matter what happens, it has to be better with Pioli over Carl right now and any coach will have to be better than Herm unless we are hiring a soccer coach to coach the Chiefs, damn maybe Herm was born to coach the other kind of football!!

DT58HOF 01-08-2009 08:51 AM

1 other thing im confused about, like the situation of BC firing the coach for interviewing, why would the Patriots org. knowingly let Pioli go to all these interviews looking for another job and not just fire him?
I mean if i own a pizza shop and my manager is all over the new that he is interviewing for 2-3 other pizza shops, his ass is out the door, especially if he is not the brains behind it all.

!!!!Our New Gm Scott Pioli!!!!

Okay gang, as many of you know I still have friends at the highest level in the Chiefs organization and have this info to share with full confidence: Scott Pioli is the new GM. His announcement will come Thursday or Friday at the latest. Clark and Scott are working out the finer points of his contract tonight, but the deal is sealed. Also, Clark informed Herm Edwards and his coaching staff that they will be released. All assistants can reapply through Scott.

I only share this information because I'm no longer with the team and it's fun to share that a new day is dawning at Arrowhead. Scott Pioli will quickly move to clean out the front office and hire a new coach.

The only info I have on the new coach is it will not be Kirk Ferentz from the Iowa Hawkeyes. Kirk coaches his son at Iowa and does not want to leave until his son graduates.

Mike Shanahan has contacted Pioli, but I don't know any info beyond that.

I really wasn't going to say it, but yeah, the under-handed techniques bother me. I'm not so naive that I think we play straight up and clean on every play, but our OL isn't taught to take out a DLs knees either.

Pioli now a Chief: Per ABC's Good Morning America

The scroll on Good Morning America said that the Chiefs have reached a deal with Pioli but the team is not confirming as of right now. I know, weird source, but ABC hasn't had to retract many stories. If true, this should be breaking from other sources sometime today.

That was sister christian from of course rock hall of famers Night Ranger. Alright if you have to pee or do number 2 you might want to do it before this announcement. Ladies and Gents. Scott Pioli is the CHIEFS new General Manager. For those of you who don't know Pioli is the GM of the Superbowl Winning team the New England Patriots (boing/boner sound effect) he is now the the General Manager for your (Inserted Mitch hothus TOUCHDOWNNNN KANSUS CITY CHIEFS... TOUCHDOWN LARRY JOHNSON, THE CENTAR HAS DONE IT AGAIN) I just broke the story so this is the email I sent out

Journey softly comes in ....highway run..... till the midnight sun..... wheels go around ...

( turns up journey alittle more THEY SAY THAT THE ROAD AIN'T NO PLACE TO START A FAMILY)
I only share this information because I'm no longer with the team and it's fun to share that a new day is dawning at Arrowhead. Scott Pioli will quickly move to clean out the front office and hire a new coach.
(journey full blast..WHOOAAAAAAAAaaAAooo WHOoOAAAooOOOooOOo Faithfully!!!!.)
The only info I have on the new coach is it will not be Kirk Ferentz from the Iowa Hawkeyes. Kirk coaches his son at Iowa and does not want to leave until his son graduates.

Mike Shanahan has contacted Pioli, but I don't know any info beyond that.

Well There you go... we got some BLACK AND BLACK FOR YOU KNOW YOU KNOW THE BAND ACDC CHECK OUT BLACK ICE!!
