Neat. Putting it out at the Legends or is there a dark horse spot?

June 30th is when the Kansas STAR bonds expire… so that is a deadline.

They have the option to extend it by a year but they don’t want to.

Wasn’t somebody saying something about the bones of a stadium once it turns 50? It can go longer but there are structural things you need to begin to watch out for?

I could totally be talking out my ass. As far as I’m concerned, keep renovating Arrowhead as long as it stays standing. But I do wonder if that’s something they’re thinking about

Build that where Arrowhead is when the Royals stadium comes down. Then build a casino complex where Arrowhead is now.

Maybe that will kick start some development. Give them some free years of no taxes etc.to build near the stadium/casino.

Two professional sports stadiums have stood in that same location for 50 years and have produced a Taco Bell and one hotel as extra entertainment

That ain't happening out there

No shit. It's not that hard to see that the Sports Complex is not a desirable area for development. Developers would have done it by now.

Still my favorite concept and it should have been built already!

I wasn't ever in favor of the rolling quonset hut look.

I'd like to see Kauffman taken down and Chiefs build a new stadium on that site while also building the sliding detached roof.

THEN when the new stadium is built, they take down all the 300 section of the old arrowhead leaving just the lower level and suites. Then make it the NEW Practice facilities. Would be great to see the team practice on old arrowhead.

This would dramatically increase one of the lowest player rated practice facilities in the NFL.

Chiefs could also keep admin at the old arrowhead which should lower costs on the new stadium OR just make more room for fancy suites.

Chiefs could still host many events on the old, now smaller, stadium.
