It’s going to take a hell of a lot more than that though to cause me to lose faith in Patrick Mahomes or even have thoughts even similar to some of those posts in the OP. As I said earlier, many GMs would trade their entire rosters away just for a few years of the guy. It’s important to keep that perspective and the understanding that we are dealing with an all-time great at his position. He’s earned that respect by now.

I was moping at the Houston game for a brief few minutes 2 years ago. I’ll never make that mistake again.

There's a difference, though, between criticizing the play on the field and just bitching like a school child.

That is why I don't do the GDT anymore. In fact, I've stopped logging in to CP on game day altogether. I enjoy the games much more without having to discuss it.

I sometimes read them after the fact because the ups and downs are kind of amusing, especially when you know the outcome. I always figure that the posts are seasoned with a fair amount of alcohol.

Also, y'all realize you can go to a thread and just hit the " button for each quote you want to add to a post and then just hit the Quote button on the last one to show all of them in a new post window? What's this nonsense about copy and pasting each quote to a Word file and opening quotes in separate tabs?

It took me ten years to figure out that the trolls they talk about don't live under a bridge. I didn't even know I was doing it. I always thought you should post to generate a response/discussion.

Yeah, I limit going into GDTs if the game is remotely close, or will respond without reading a ton... granted, I still see plenty of idiotic posts, but have gotten used to it.

But even the first Raiders game that ended in a blowout was pretty miserable for like 3 quarters, so it really does take a Bills or Titans loss where the hyperbole doesn't even matter because it's such a dumpster fire of a game, or the 2nd Raiders game where they take the lead on a fumble returned for a touchdown on the first play of the game and never look back.

Anything in between means lots of crying and exaggeration.
