And to dane, ill check this thread tomorrow morning to see if youve answered my question. You think your little insults and emoticons can hide how terrible of a deflector you really are. Clown.

How about you answer my question first, Dumb****?

cheer up Dane. this team is going to get better. you'll see. Cassel will do just fine once he finds his groove

Cassel was born without a groove.

Fishpicker 09-11-2012 02:04 AM

groove is in the heart. Cassel is human, thus he'll be doing a victory dance sooner or later. give it time.

What I've said all along is that 12 wins should be the bottom line.

I don't necessarily believe that they'll hit that mark but there's enough talent, even with Cassel, to hit that mark.

I'm with you man.

LMAO i knew this place would be about as much fun as having Brock Lesnar administer a hamburger face this week.

As long as Peeholi keeps tossing off 1st rounders on D-line, I'm sure we'll get it right one decade...

The main thing i want is for the Oline to not be so comfortable with our DLine. The 2-gap system is very passive for the DLine. They intentionally engage the Oline and that takes a lot of pressure off the offensive lineman.

Now if every so often the Dline would just attack then the offensive lineman couldn't be so comfortable with their techniques etc.

1 down the Dline is responsible for 2-gap and have to maintain position

next down the Dline attacks and the linebackers have to be responsible for 1 of the gaps.

This would screw with the Olines blocking assignments and we would create more broken play and have guys running open in the backfield.

JMO

I love this idea, can we get you as our def cordinator for the rest of the season?

The job of an NFL game managing QB:

Protect the ball and take what the defense gives you.

NOT be careless with where you hold the ball and then follow up a fumble at a crucial time with 2 interceptions.

That SHOULD put Cassel in hot water.

He needs to become a franchise quarterback by week 6 or he needs to hit the bench and give someone else a try at doing so.

Sounds good. Lets' do it...

Without reading the other 260 plus posts.
Our D-Line is doing exactly what is asked of them. Stop blaming them for doing what they are asked to do. Which means what they are suppose to do. If you don't like their production when it comes to getting pressure or so on in the passing game then you should be blaming the coaching staff not the players. Our Dline is not asked to get sacks and or get to the QB. That is by design from the Coaches.

We're not getting nose tackle play, but that's because Poe is way too raw right now. Good nose tackle play improves the play of the entire defensive line. Secondly, these are halfway decent (not great, but good enough) players when they are well coached. Right now, they aren't punching people in the mouth. They're playing soft, finesse defense because Romeo isn't that type of disciplinary coach.

The d-line is better than what we see. But I don't think this 2-gap is getting the best out of this defense. Poe and Dorsey are great fits for a 1-gap.

the Talking Can 10-20-2012 07:12 AM

they're one dimensional players even at their best

dorsey is tough, but cemented in place
jackson is a pussy
poe is....jesus...

We could probably do that scheme with a guy like Dorsey, but again RAC's defense dates back to the ****ing stone age and is outdated by like 350 years

1) The 34 defense is the most recently devised NFL BASE defense.

2) if you tell Dorsey to "rush the QB" it will take him 340 years to get there
