That's what the officer told him when he went in and talked to him. A threat could charged as 3rd degree assault. (according to a friend of mine working when the officer went in to talk to him) Now I didn't want to bring charges against him originally- I just wanted everything documented if something happened.

What, you can't be bothered to actually face and solve your own problems? Nah instead lets get a criminal charge put on his record. Lets literally alter his life. Forget talking to the person and possibly receiving a sincere apology. Forget working things out and both people coming out of the situation with another life lesson learned. Forgot forgiveness. Forget human error. You've obviously never done anything wrong.

Personally, I wouldn't want anything to do with a guy like that. Somebody wants to issue threats, they need to be taken seriously, and they deserve to have it on their record. It's the only thing they understand.

It is 2012. The 1950s are over. Maybe no one told you. No one whistles at women on the street corner anymore. Try friending them on Facebook instead.

You wouldnt or cant because you don't want to have that awkward feelign when you approach him to talk things out.... wondering if he's going to be standoff-ish or receptive. Afraid co-workers might all be staring and listening to see whats goign to happen. Worried that there isnt some1 there with huge glowing cones directing your every move. What wait! Where are the other sheep? I'm all alone away from the herd. No I cannot live not being told what to like or how to feel or what's about to happen next. I cannot have suspense in my life. I don't want to live if I have to actually live. There's no damn app for this sort of thing! Lets just quit and avoid this whole situation.

Remember those meds I mentioned? You still need to take them.

I just prefer to stay away from middle aged people who think they're still in junior high and want you to meet them out by the big tree. I've moved on from that garbage. It isn't acceptable in the workplace. The rest of your post is a bunch of incomprehensible babble.

While a guy huddles over his computer trying to friend her that woman is going home with the guy that approached her in real life about 99% of the time.

Assault is a threat. Battery is physical harm.

Under oklahoma law.

Assault and battery can be more severe if the suspect is of robust size and strength against the victim, ie....mentally/disabled, elderly victims.

Not sure what your state law is though.

How many seconds a day are you not lookign at some sort of screen. Either cell phone, tv, computer, or ipad. It's ok to spark up a conversation with a pretty girl out in public. I promise she won't harm you. She's a real live girl. You know, the kind you watch in those videos late @ night after grandma has gone to bed and you've finished your bagel bites she cooked and plated for you.

I was being sarcastic. Approaching and talking can work. Whistling as they walk by isn't likely to.

I'm married. Yesterday was our 26th anniversary.

I make my living at a computer screen. A damn good one too. Get to live in beautiful Hawaii with the best weather in the world. While you guys have been suffering at over 100 we've been enjoying our usual 82 degree low humidity weather.

Oh, I see you live near Oxnard. I'm sorry.
