I honestly think she's timid toward initiating conversation. She said she hadn't used AIM in a long time before we met. Now I just see her sitting there and not messaging me...apart from the other night.

So have yourself displayed at available? If so that's cool just layoff for a few days, to give her space so you don't seem smothering. Still try to get her phone number for the reasons I've said and it would break the ice more since there is a fuckin glacier between you two.

Yeah, you are telling me. I'm dating a chick right now that really won't speak. At first I thought she thought I was a dbag, but kept calling me. I can watch football and sports in peace, she does not speak. If a woman doesn't speak very much, then the less she can complain.

Usually, though, after you get to know them they won't shut up. I had one who was a quiet little thing then started reading me road signs and billboards. I had to tell her to stfu.

Yeah maybe she types 15 words per minute too. I know I type 100 words per minute so online I am more inclined to blabber on about nothing in particular, but not really like that in real life. I just got a new phone with a full qwerty keyboard and I notice I text alot more, and alot longer responses than I did with my old phone because it took so long

I tell you what I'll do. When she finally works up the courage to IM me here in a couple days I'll ask if she wants to chat on the phone. My guess is she declines the offer and gives some reason about not being comfortable with it.

She's probably not comfortable talking on the phone because she's scared her whiskers will make noise against the phone or something.
