When he's not playing, it drops to 5%. Ford's presence is a huge factor in the 49ers ability to pressure the QB, as each individual starter is capable of consistently beating one on one blocks. When Ford players, the offense just doesn't have enough blockers to prevent pressure without keeping both the TE and RB in to block. I have to imagine KC knows this and will either target Ford or try to keep the 49ers from rotating him in on passing downs. Same with Clark for KC...he's gotta have a big target on him.

Dee Ford as the special sauce..

If any offense knows how to exploit Dee Ford's weaknesses, I'd imagine it'd be the Chiefs.

Hey guys, the 49ers had the Hardest schedule in the history of the NFL!

Even though they played more than half their games in sunny California, Arizona or in a Dome.

Those first-class plane rides were BRUTAL!!!

Dee Ford prevented the Chiefs from winning the Super Bowl last year. I'll be damned if he's going to do it two years in a row.

Oh yeah, We're terrified of Dee Ford.

LOL...that's a good one. They were just talking about that play on our local radio today. Really unbelievable that a professional player can line up off sides. That should be the easiest mistake to avoid.

Y’all never played against him.

Not telling you that you should be. Just giving you the facts as to his impact when he's playing and not playing. Do with it what you will.

If Dee Ford is on the field, motion a TE to his side and destroy him by running it right at him. Teams did that again and again and again against him in KC.

If he’s off the field and Solomon Thomas is in his spot, go empty and pass.

Doubt they'll treat Kelsey or Damien special since Warner and Kwon are excellent in coverage.

In other news... Kittle is on pace to be the best TE in the league (probably already is). If it’s not clear already, it will be after the bowl.

Not just off sides. The dummy lined up almost completely across the LOS.

I'll be watching to see if KC plays it that way. I think it's likely that when the 49ers put Thomas or a back up in on run plays, they run hurry up to prevent Ford from rotating into the games. Ford is typically only on the field in obvious passing down.
