Baloney. The best defensive coordinator in the game isn’t going to come in here and fix this. They lack talent on the back end and have zero pass rush. NOBODY would be successful with this crew.

You'll have to excuse Superturtle.

He's prone to emotional outbursts that don't make much rational sense.

As you see in this thread...

Eh, not really. The Chargers dropped multiple passes that would have been HUGE gains, including at least one TD that I recall. And Rivers still threw for 424 yards. Would have been over 500 without those drops, and the Chargers would have likely at least tied the game, if not won it. The Chiefs also allowed 5.6 yards per rush.

Really, really, extraordinarily terrible.

Sutton is coordinator, not a position coach. He doesn’t develop players, that’s just silly.

And which players would he develop anyway. To watch this place on draft day, they all suck and are wasted picks right away so what’s he gonna do?

He's part of the reason we're in this mess to begin with.

Coaching is as important now as it’s ever been.

They’re lacking some talent up front but they don’t exactly get put in great spots scheme wise

Sutton has reigned over two of the most epic defensive collapses in playoff history. He can eat a bag of dicks.

I recall one of those 'collapses' included an offense that didn't score a single point in the 2nd half.

Not one single solitary ****ing point.

Classic ReidSmith.

The defensive coordinator is responsible for coordinating the defensive unit of the team, including practice and game planning and management. In addition they are responsible for coordination of assistant coaches in each defensive position.

Yeah, I don't think it's much of a stretch to hold Sutton responsible for the lack of developed talent under his watch.

Truth.

Sutton's defense carried Sanchez and the Jets to 2 straight AFCCGs.

Mark. ****ing. Sanchez.

Of course, they had an in-his-prime Revis with Sheldon Richardson et al, in other words, they had good players.

We were extremely erratic in the pass rush department. 55 needs a solid, dependable, effective, inside move (and needed it for a long time).

If your front 7 has trouble getting to Rivers, you're going to have real issues with young, mobile QBs, I'm afraid.

I can't wait to see the All-22 (wasn't up a few minutes ago), but Mitch and "No Doubt About It" mentioned several times that we were being held and the refs were ignoring it.

As of now, however, one has to acknowledge that it's a concern.

Do you blame John Dorsey at all? How about Veach?

I'd love to hear how it's 'all Sutton's fault.'

Bullshit I’m tired of that excuse. We just spent a whole draft on defense and a high priced linebacker and still spotting a team 500+ . You saying we couldn’t have brough in another coordinator in and kept them below 500 yards?
