Yes, but really...

How would a three team trade look with Philly/Cavs/Wolves in a purely hypothetical universe?

Let's say we started with this... what changes would you see?

CAVS GET
Kevin Love (with opt in)
Kevin Martin

WOLVES GET
Joel Embiid (reunited with Mbah a Moute)
Michael Carter Williams
Anthony Bennett
First round pick (CLE)

SIXERS GET
First round pick (MIA)
Dion Waiters
Andrew Wiggins

Let the flaming begin...

You're an idiot. We aren't giving up Waiters, Wiggins, AND Bennett.

No I was actually a Spurs fan last year. Liked Miami the two years before that though. Dumbass.

RustShack 07-23-2014 12:15 PM

Why would anyone think that someone from Iowa who's a Chiefs/Cyclones/Cavs fan is a bandwagoner?

RustShack 07-23-2014 12:21 PM

Joe Cowley: According to the source, Timberwolves reached out to Bulls last night to let them know Cavs offer was best on the table. Gar Forman played poker face for about 12 hours, and then pushed all the chips in this morning. Confirmed Taj and McDermott as well as "other assets.'' Mirotic is still unconfirmed. Joe Cowley: Per source: Forman put a deadline on TWolves response so that there isn't this back-and-forth playing the Cavs and Bulls against each other. If this is going down it could be going down quicker than expected. Twitter @suntimes_hoops - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.ed0cnf0B.dpuf

I realize that. God, why does everything you do have to suck.

It's not that crazy. Try this on for size.

Cavs get embiid and love

Wolves get Wiggins, thaddeus young, cavs picks

Sixers get Bennett, Waiters, Martin, Barrea

The team that loses most is Philly. But they are trying to get rid of young and they don't need two centers.

This looks pretty damn reasonable.

There is a shit ton to like about this for all parties involved. Well, I shouldn't speak for the Sixers, since I have no clue what their needs or interests are.

But the Wolves get the necessary compensation they're looking for, and the Cavs CERTAINLY become a shit **** ton better team in that arrangement.

****... to have a 5 with the mobility of Embiid and his rim-guarding skills? Pair that with Lebron and Kevin Love?

That's a ****ing team, let me tell you.

We agree on something.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Philly is playing to tank this year. But they need to hit a minimum salary threshold. So they are a perfect team to take on bad contracts like Kevin Martin and jj barea.

Philly's the wild card in all of this. Who knows what that franchise will do.

Send Embiid to the Wolves with Dieng going to the Cavs and I think everyone is happy. The Cavs want a C that can play now. Embiid may not play next season. Embiid has a higher offensive upside than Dieng and the Wolves are building longer term.

Of course, I am and idiot, so this probably doesn't work.

Pitt Gorilla 07-23-2014 01:14 PM

Cavs get Dieng and love (and Martin, if they want him)

Wolves get Wiggins, thaddeus young, embiid, cavs picks

Sixers get Bennett, Waiters, Martin (or not), Barrea, (possibly picks from Cavs)

didn't the cavs just have Deng?

saphojunkie 07-23-2014 01:17 PM

Sixers tank the season, end up with a top five pick where they take Okafor/Towns/Cliff Alexander to pair alongside Nerlens Noel.

Or they move bennett to a stretch 4 and go for a wing like Justise Winslow or Stanley Johnson.
