I'm not interested in John Carpenter so much as I am watching all of these old school classics that I missed growing up.

I've knocked a ton off my list in the past couple years and The Thing was just another.

Next I'll be diving into those 80s Arnie action classics. Commando is first up.

Prinice of Darkness is well worth it.

It was way before it's time. Talking about quantum physics in a time when the average Joe had no idea what it even was...

I can't remember if I posted it anywhere here but I watched 47 Meters Down.

It wasn't the worst movie ever. They actually did a pretty good job of inducing that thalassophic feeling.

Dunkirk was just ok for me. The real storyline is truly remarkable and I don't think the movie quite captured that.

It's thalassophobia! I think it's fear of the ocean or deep water or something. Whatever it is, I've got it and the movie did a good job of playing on it.

The beginning was good, as was the first few minutes of seeing how Arthur operated basically like a pimp, but from there it was almost like Guy Ritchie was shooting from the hip with ideas after Eight Balling for a hours on end. The movie SHOULD have been good with that cast.
