Adam Schefter reported this

I got raped by a little midget and as a way to make it up to me. He let me into this

Okay gang, as many of you know I still have friends at the highest level in the Chiefs organization and have this info to share with full confidence: Scott Pioli is the new GM. His announcement will come Thursday or Friday at the latest. Clark and Scott are working out the finer points of his contract tonight (money & control), but the deal is sealed. Also, Clark informed Herm Edwards and his coaching staff that they will be released. All assistants can reapply through Scott.

I only share this information because I'm no longer with the team and it's fun to share that a new day is dawning at Arrowhead. Scott Pioli will quickly move to clean out the front office and hire a new coach.

The only info I whistled for a cab and when it came near, the license plate said "FRESH" and had a dice on the mirror! If anything, I could say that this cab was rare, but I said "Naw, forget it. Yo home, to Bel-Air!"

I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cabbie "Yo homes, smell ya later!" I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there. To sit on my home as the Prince of Bel-Air.

Mike Shanahan has contacted Pioli, but I don't know any info beyond that.

Yeah, just saw this on Arrowhead Pride.

Also, there's a note from Adam Schefter that the Chiefs have officially interviewed at least 6 GM candidates, but most of this info had been kept under wraps.

Discussions between the Kansas City Chiefs and Patriots vice president of player personnel Scott Pioli have intensified, according to an NFL source.

Although negotiations had not begun as of early tonight, word out of Kansas City was that the possibility of a marriage was picking up momentum.

Do you, Clark Hunt, take Scott Pioli to be your lawfully wedded GM?

I do.

And do you, Scott Pioli, take Clark Hunt to be your lawfully wedded owner?

I do.

I now pronounce you owner and GM. You may kiss the franchise savior.

Apparently, Reiss is very much connected to Pioli.

I'm really starting to believe this will happen.

Could you imagine a report coming out saying that it didn't work out with Pioli, because he would not be allowed to fire Herm. I have a lot of respect for Clark right now, and am extremely excited to have him running the team with his actions of late.....I don't think I could handle a let down of that magnitude.

To put it simply, no.

Edit: Well, a "report" sure... but that being fact? No.
