Do you actually have some links and facts to back up the wonderful observation of yours...or is this more lying bullshit on your part?

I have plenty of links I'd love to provide to show the basketball queens what the actual numbers are but for whatever reason I've never been given the ability to post links on CP. Anytime I try it says I have to be approved and given permission first. Quite annoying actually.

Already been posted. This is all public information which you can easily find. Every ath program files these financial reports with the Department of Education.

Since I know you struggle with facts, this 2012 is an example to help get you started:

PB and Bambi now share the biggest dumb****s mantle with knowmo banned...Congrats!!

Pasta Little Brioni 02-04-2014 10:55 AM

B ball is a secondary sport. This is America and we are a football country. To argue otherwise is dumb as all hell. Nobody gives a shit about hoops except for their damn brackets. That is why they get ad money.

Like I said...I can't post links for some stupid reason (even have to take the link out of your post to quote for response).

But, using your USA Today link, tell me how many of the top 20 schools on that list are basketball schools. Maybe 2 out of 20?? And I already told you that Michigan St and Kentucky both have football programs that bring in more revenue than their basketball. Louisville is an exception to the rule.

Your link does nothing but discredit the point you are trying to make. What is wrong with your brain??

Love watching PB and Bambi get MU fans all stirred...

Always good for a laugh. Thanks guys.

You have to reach a certain post count to post links (to keep spammers at bay). You're probably almost there, but I don't know what the threshold is.

Great, PGM the yip-dog is back barking again. Nobody ever said football wasn't the most popular sport, we simply said it's PRO football that's most popular. College football really isn't. If you're not smart enough to separate the two (and by all accounts, you aren't), then you'll never get what is being said.

The numbers don't lie.

Brackets dummy. The sport itself is pure garbage and worse this year. Horrible product.

Huh? I already said that at the top football programs yes, football generates the most money. In what way did my link dispute that? Everybody knows Texas & Alabama & LSU and etc etc make their dough on football. Never been disputed one single time. But there's a serious dispute about whether football makes all that much money for the other 110 D1 programs (or as Googly points out, the other 200 sub-tier programs). Most studies say it doesn't.

I'd also point out the revenue numbers are not relevant to popularity since they're driven by structure. Football keeps their money, basketball divides it. The NCAA tourney funds 99% of the NCAA's budget. Football contributes bumpkis. That's why the data is so skewed.

Why are you now talking about the NFL? At absolutely NO point in this discussion has anyone made the claim that college football is more popular than the NFL. You're changing the subject and deflecting because you're losing an argument, per usual.

Pasta Little Brioni 02-04-2014 11:15 AM

People like brackets and work pools. They are great....the spirt isn't near the quality of CFB.

Wrong. Mizzou fans try to lump college football in with the NFL in depicting the generic "football" as more popular. And Bambi & I have separated the two. DId you not just read PGM's post above? He clearly believes college football is vastly more popular despite the data proving otherwise. Because it's "football", ya know?

College football isn't much more popular at all than college basketball, and outside of the South it is less popular in the other 3 quadrants of the country.

It is, but will never expect a cartoon clown bird fan to acknowledge it. Keep up the bullshit "data" though.
