They did have more time and resources, but they ultimately didn't add anyone who came close to being able to replace what Hill brought to the offense. Not saying it's an apples to apples comparison though.

Don't get me wrong, I hate the idea of potentially being w/out Jones for 7 weeks and Omenihu for 6, but even if the DL struggles majorly during those weeks, I'm confident that KC can emerge with a solid record. I think the offense will improve on what was already the most efficient offense in the NFL. If they need to win games 38-34 for the first two months, so be it.

Patriots lost plenty of great players during their dynasty run and still won 6. So I think you have to be able to deal with these things from time to time.

If you had done this whole thing in March like with Tyreek? Sure.

But they've built the whole D around the guy at this point.

I see almost no way he gets extended at this point. There is basically no reason to come up to where he is at so unless he comes down 3-4 million he’s stuck on playing out the contract.

Jones has proven he is selfish and a me first guy. He is earning close to 30 million this year. I hope KC does not sign him. Its sets up more players doing this in the future. Dont reward this behavior.. Tag and trade him next year!

I saw a Facebook post (not worth much) that Chris Jones is in KC. I have to think it's a matter of time until he reports.
