That reminds me that I need to try Entwined Ale. Anyone here had it yet?

I saw it yesterday in Houston. Didn't pick any up though.

I drank one just now. It's very light.. in both color, and aroma. Not overly sweet, but you can taste the grapes. Not bitter at all, but crisp. Would be good on a hot day.

Disclaimer: I am completely amateur at beer reviews, but that was the impression I had of it.

I broke my keto edge last night on an Entwined Ale. I don't know why but I was expecting it to have a big flavor like a cider, but the fruit is very subtle, and it is very much like a light beer (transparent gold w/ white foamy head).

Probably a good outdoors beer during the summer, stadium beer. I doubt I'll drink too much of it, could be a good base for a beer cocktail. I'd like a little higher abv/$$$ ratio. Sweet packaging though.

Tasting my first boulevard pop up session IPA. I approve. Not sure I like it better than Founder's All Day.

Any of you guys on BeerAdvocate.com, Untapp'd, etc.? Some of you guys have a lot of knowledge and experience with beer. Would love to see what you're drinking and how you're rating it.

I'm on Untapp'd and my username is TimBone64. Anybody who's on there, hit me up with a friend request or just post your username here.

Picked up some tonight. They say it's Nelson from their tasting room. But IIRC that was a beer that was 6.5ish%, and they've made it a session beer. That said, it's decent. Pilsner with a bit of a fruity taste. It was a couple years ago that I had it in the tasting room, but I think it's different than that beer was.

Anyone tried Goose Island Endless IPA?

Picked some up knowing nothing about it. Probably won't crack it until later.

Obviously different styles, and everyone has their preferences, but in the same category of "fantastic" along with Matilda and Sofie?

I love Sofie and I think Ogden is better. It could be that I have drank a lot of Sofie over the last few months so Ogden has the "new" appeal.

I have had Matilda just once and really liked it but its been a while so I would have to do a comparison. Sounds like a good excuse to pick up some Matilda.

TimBone 06-08-2014 12:37 PM

If you guys like Matilda, go and pick up a bottle of Orval. Super good stuff.
