I love Kevin Smith movies. Clerks II is excellent. Just, please, don't bring up Jersey Girl :shake: .

Way more complete as a movie that 300 was. Oh, and I assume it was cheaper to make.

So you saw 300? No good eh?

Sam Hall 03-11-2007 09:43 PM

People are raving about 300. It's one of those movies that rocks in surround sound.

luv 03-11-2007 09:50 PM

Watching Tenacious D now.

PLANNING. Nice.

reminds me too much of myself. We had a function with a kegger at work one day and there was plenty of it left.
I roted through the kitchenette cabinets and found someone's old tupperware container and filled it up and brought it home.

I refer to that period as "The Dark Ages." Afterall, it WAS dark beer.

Okay, I've watched Clerks 2 and Tenacious D so far. I've got Employee of the Month and THe Departed left to go. I think I'll put in Employee of the Month and save The Departed for next Saturday.

wiki says: Qunu is a small rural village in South Africa's Eastern Cape Province, 32 km south-west of Mthatha on the road between Butterworth and Mthatha.
Qunu is near where Nelson Mandela was born, and where he retired after leaving office. It is the village to which Nelson Mandela's father relocated after being deposed as Mvezo chief. In his autobiography Long Walk to Freedom, Mandela describes Qunu as where he spent the happiest moments of his childhood.

But that doesn't make sense, however this does...... http://qunu.com/

Cntrygal 03-12-2007 07:56 PM

Trying to get some studying time in. I have a promotion test on the 22nd - so I probably won't be around much until after then.

cool, good luck. Can I make you some flash cards......

:p

Cntrygal 03-12-2007 07:58 PM

Plus - I went skiing on Saturday. It was GREAT. But we're in a heat wave right now... dangit. Today it was 70 (probably 50s up at the slopes). DANGIT. I doubt the snow will be around by the end of the week.

Cntrygal 03-12-2007 08:00 PM

Thanks- I'll probably need all the luck I can get - since I haven't hardly done ANY studying. (sigh)

I'm also planning on one last ski trip for the season.... :)

I haven't skied in a long time, I used to think I would be working in the rockies as ski patrol, working the lifts and skiing on my days off.

Cntrygal 03-12-2007 08:22 PM

I was asked to join the ski school next season. I don't think that I'm good enough to actual teach people - yet. :D

crazycoffey 03-12-2007 08:23 PM

so where you at, or near (if you don't want to tell me specifics)

Cntrygal 03-12-2007 08:29 PM

I'm near Rapid City, South Dakota.

There's two small slopes here - just under an hour away.

crazycoffey 03-12-2007 08:30 PM

cool, never been to the Dakotas.

Cntrygal 03-12-2007 08:34 PM

There's alot to see here... but I hate the wind and RAPID weather changes. If the wind is blowing less than 50 mph - it's not even noteworthy (unless it's not blowing at all, THAT will make the news). It's also not surprising when it's zero (or less) one day and a couple days later it's 80. (It was below zero a couple weeks ago here)...

crazycoffey 03-12-2007 08:37 PM

when you say two small slopes, you mean really only two choices, left or right to ski? like on lift.....

Or do you mean, two mountains, with like dozens of different runs on each one?

crazycoffey 03-12-2007 08:41 PM

BTW, I'm a pussy now, choe all.

Cntrygal 03-12-2007 08:43 PM

LOL... It's two small "resorts"

Deer Mountain (my favorite)

Terry Peak

Oddly my kidneys hurt slightly. I've been drinking cranberry to no end. Probably/hopefully just a mild infection.

That's what I mean. I usually get up around 0430 - so on the RARE day I make it to 0700... I feel really lazy. And I never sleep straight thru to 7... I will wake up around 5ish thinking "oh shit"... then realize that I don't have to get up - so I try and snooze.

I have the back patio door open (screen closed) and it's causing those stupid vertical blinds to clank around in the wind. LOL it's bothering the cat. He keeps coming into the living room to stare at me and hit my foot with his head, only to go back to the kitchen to stare at the imaginary intruder. All the while, the killer dog is laying here saving her energy for when the cat signals the attack.
