If Rice's case isn't settled until after the season, he's going to win a ton of fantasy leagues for those savvy enough to put aside his legal issues and draft him relatively early.

He's going to be a YAC beast this season. I'm going on record right now saying Rice leads the league this season in YAC if he doesn't get hurt or get suspended.

He really seems to be killing it in that Kelce role.

There's going to be a lot more room for him compared to last season. Safeties will have to respect the deep ball. Especially when we get Hollywood and Worthy on the field together. Rice or Kelce will be single-covered underneath so much more than they were last season. My guess is that most of the time it will be Rashee.

We've been having this argument for months now.

The Chiefs made a clear philosophical decision AWAY from spending big money on a WR and traded away the best WR in football for draft capital. And it WORKED.

And they'd reverse that?

I mean it's just so far beyond stupid that it barely warrants mention.

Had they not won the Super Bowl without Hill (let alone winning it twice) I could see them considering a similar idea (at a far lower cost) but that's not the world we live in.

In THIS reality there's simply no way they're going to give up substantial draft capital for a WR and give him a market-setting contract. That's no more likely to happen than the Chiefs trading Mahomes.

They only traded him when he didn’t sign the mega contract they offered him.

And that same offseason made a trade offer for AJBrown, that surely would have included a big $ extension.

I think what Veach has proven is that he’s not afraid one bit of taking big swings for top talents at impact positions. Regardless on if that entails a free agent signing, trade or moving up in the draft.

He obviously has an eye for elite talents via all of those methods.

Which is niiiice.

He was ****ing unreal today. Worthy will get the headlines but Rice was simply brilliant.

He's gonna be a monster this year with the type of coverage he's going to face

Bump 09-05-2024 10:28 PM

He's a killer on those little short drags and slant routes!

Having better receivers out there opened it up more, can't wait for Hollywood Brown to add another dimension to this offense and open up Rice even more

I think he got like 80 yards off of the same exact play, over and over again. It was hilarious.

Pitt Gorilla 09-05-2024 10:38 PM

So, so good. He's Pat's guy.

That is like me in Madden on rookie mode. One play works every time.

The 15 to 4 connection looked unstoppable.

JPH83 09-06-2024 03:53 PM

He looked even better. I think his releases might have improved. If Holywood comes back guns blazing this is going to be scary.

Hoover 09-06-2024 03:58 PM

I'm surprised there isn't more talk about how Rice and Worthy are perfect compliments to each other. We went from Bart not being able to draft a WR to him drafting what could be the best ever #1 and #2 combo and it still leaves room to just go add other elements for the receiving game in FA in the draft. Veach has slayed his biggest demon IMO

FloridaMan88 09-06-2024 04:03 PM

Too soon to say that Rice is going to replace Kelce as Mahomes’ go to guy in the passing game this season?
