Mark Davis career stats with Royals:
3 years,
9-13 record. Started 14 games.
Had 7 saves in three years.
5.31 ERA
In 168 innings pitched, gave up 168 hits, 139 Ks, 119 walks.
And they paid him around $9 million dollars in 1990's money.

I was wrong about his years here. It was 1990-1992.
Sabes won 2 Cy Youngs as a Royal, 1985 and 1989.
So in 1990, we had both Cy Young winners.

How about favorite Royals who weren't very good?

I loved Mike McDougle...Rusty Meachem, too.

Bob Hamelin was awesome.

Warren Cromartie
Hubie Brooks

Didn't we used to have some monstrous black guy who crushed 500 foot bombs 1% of the time but sucked the other 99%? I feel like he had three names and came from the Reds...

Hootie 04-10-2013 12:11 PM

I might be thinking of Wily Mo Pena. Didn't we sign him at one point?
