Don't ask her if she wants to do something. After you've talked for a bit, just tell her you'll be at such and such place at such and such time on such and such day. Don't sit at home waiting to hear back. Go out. If she doesn't show up, then you've paid for one person instead of two, you're getting out more, and maybe you'll bump into someone else to talk to. If someone shows up, you see how things go. If you want to see her again, then ask her what she would like to do next time.
