Aww he’s so cute.

So sorry for the loss :(

As a side note the cat is very pretty. He’s going to need more attention now

Had to put my 12YO, Apollo, down today. He developed a massive infected growth on his hind leg (which you can see in the picture) that got so big that the vet thought it was likely cancerous, felt that amputation of the leg was the only viable option, and that even the amputation might not save him. Between the massive cost, the reduction of life quality, no guarantee that it any of it would work, and his age, it seemed like the best course of action. Which doesn't make it suck any less.

Also sucks that the first vet we took him to nearly three weeks ago basically did nothing but fleece us for $700 (an ineffective antibiotic shot and a non-conclusive test) then basically kicked the can down the road and told us to take him somewhere else. ****ers. I'll never go back there again.

Anyway, what's done is done. He was a needy, neurotic pain in the ass, but I sure will miss him. :(

Anyone have anything cuter than this? My daughters female mini daschund, Linny.

Sorry, Fraz.
Good looking cat. RIP Apollo!

We're likely looking at making a tough choice with our 17-year-old orange boy on Friday. The wife is a mess.

Mine took it much better than I expected. I figured she'd insist on the surgery/extended treatment, but she saw the futility of it.

Of course, it probably didn't hurt that this cat was 100% mine. Other than howling at her every morning to fill the food bowl, he ignored her completely. :D

Sorry to hear that Fraz. Shitty thing to happen to him and you.

Had a vet (he was filling in for my regular guy) pull the same crap on me a while back. Fortunately, my regular vet made it right with me when he got back from vacation.

I'll enter my boy, Ro, in the contest. Forgive his lack of modesty - sleeping with his (lack of) balls in the air is kind of his thing.

Let's see her when she's bigger. Big Papi was definitely that cute when he was a pup.

Dude our stories are similar. We went from diagnosed (Wednesday) to dead that Sunday. So no time to even plan or discuss treatments

Cancer is awful. I’m so sorry
