LOL you've got to be kidding me, do people really think they're going to stop making the lego sets because the ship blew up on TV?

This is an awful idea. Good grief.

If Disney killed off Grogu, there would be tens of millions of subscribers dumping Disney+ over this weekend, which would be absolutely ridiculous considering that The Mandalorian is highest rated streaming programming since its debut in November and Disney is pushing for more than 200 million subscribers by 2024.

It would be awful in terms of story arc as well.

It's Lego, and it's Star Wars.

It creates pure insanity.

So damn, I watched Rogue 1 last night because I'm damn in the mood for the Mandalorian and MOTHER****ER I have to wait another day.

I'll be damned if that isn't a hell of a good movie. Even though I know what happens, I know how everyone ends up, it's just really ****ing good. All the details are right. The sounds, the timing, all of it. ****ing right.

Maybe it was the mood I was in, I don't know, but even still. After all the times I've seen it, R1 just crushes it.

The scene where the Rebel Fleet jumps out of hyperspace at Scarif with Red and Gold Leaders reporting in to Admiral Raddus (with the ****ing GHOST leading the charge!!)? *chef's kiss*

The scene right before that where the intelligence officer intercepts the Imperial transmission about Rebels on the beaches of Scarif and tells Mon Mothma about it is the perfect lead in, too. She wants to talk with Raddus, is told he is already preparing to leave, her two generals have an "oh ****" look, and she lets out a little smirk. Just perfect.

Just my way of 100% agreeing with you here. Lol

No see you have to tease it better.

Probably the last scene of season 2. Grogu's ears perk up and he starts looking down the street (or wherever). There is a cloaked figure coming up but you can't see who the figure is. Change camera to a back shot of the figure walking up to Mando and Grogu. As he gets closer, the figure stops. His right hand/arm in a very familiar black color of someone's gloved prosthetic. Both hands reach up to pull back the hood and.....................

Yeah, I've stayed up until midnight for most of this season. Unfortunately, I've been a bit groggy each time but like you said, I don't want to be spoiled.

Plus, in every instance, I've liked each chapter even more on the second viewing.

It's just a bummer this is the end because man, it went by too quickly.

They don't have the Razor Crest yet but check this site out for Star "Wars" Lego. I have purchased multiple "Lego" sets from this site and despite being knockoff Lego... the quality is phenomenal. My Lego fiend of a wife says they are the exact same thing minus having LEGO stamped on each brick.

Peyton Reed directed the finale.

Some are concerned, since his episode earlier in the season was widely considered one of the weakest of the series. I'm not. I thought the direction was fine, and like with last week's episode most of my issues with the introduction of frog lady were attributable to Favreau's script.

Guess we'll see.

trndobrd 12-17-2020 08:51 PM

Just showed my 8 & 11 y/o boys some Clint Eastwood scenes from the Good/Bad/Ugly trilogy on youtube. Responses in the first 20 seconds:
" Why are they playing music from the Mandalorian?". "That guy walks like the Mandalorian.". "He really likes to shoot people a lot...kind of like the Mandalorian!". "He shoots really fast like the Mandalorian"

So fun to watch them pick up on the connections.

I had no idea that his episode was looked upon as the "weakest" this season because I thought it was fantastic, especially the fight scenes and humor.

Seeing the Razor Crest land, then fall into the sea, only to be drug out by a retrofitted AT-AT was hilariously ingenious, IMO. I also liked the way he treated the Mandalorians.

I guess I have a hard time believing that the finale won't be completely awesome.

You're thinking of the wrong episode. He directed the one before that. With the ice planet, the big spiders and Grogu eating eggs.

It's almost like the writers made one of the most boring, bland, and uninspired movies they could, simply so they can juxtapose into one of the most exciting moments in the canon.

One thing is for sure, there are some badass women in this series. Not sure where they were at during the original trilogy if this only takes place five years later, but it's still cool to see.

The only thing I can really compare to the sheer unbridled happiness I felt while watching the finale is the culmination/final battle during Avengers Endgame. I literally had tears of both happiness and sadness. My God was that enjoyable.

There were a lot of unhappy people at both Disney and Lucasfilm after The Last Jedi. I mentioned here that when JJ was hired for IX, there was a collective sigh of relief, knowing that he'd "right" the "wrongs" made by RJ.

After shooting began, the story was still being worked out and many of the people that were happy that RJ was gone were disappointed at the story line of TRoS and began "leaking" their frustration. Keep in mind, as I reported last year, they were editing the movie up to the day of the premiere because the entire thing was so rushed and such a mess.

In a "normal" year, I would have heard a few things during the filming of Season 2 but that's just about impossible with COVID restrictions here in Hollywood. These types of leaks aren't something that anyone wants to put in a text or email, it's something told face-to-face.

All that said, I'm glad that I didn't have any spoilers this season because it made it so much more fun!
