Buck 04-12-2009 03:10 PM

The question is going to be can Perry/Cabrera come through in the Clutch?

Buck 04-12-2009 03:11 PM

Why did he use the Driver there????

GRRRRR

Cabrera can hit a ****ing wedge into either par 5, so who knows with him, but he has hit some piss awful shots today.

Perry is in really good shape here. After he hits the tee shot into 12, he can legitimately play the final 6 holes at -3 without much of a sweat.

That is what I think it will come down to.

If Perry looks at the leaderboard I wouldn't want to bet against it.

If Tiger was behind me I wouldn't shit my pants out of fear, I'd do it b/c I was ahead of Tiger.

BWillie 04-12-2009 03:15 PM

Gold jacket, green jacket, who gives a shit - happy gilmore

kstater 04-12-2009 03:16 PM

Perry with a birdie.

the Talking Can 04-12-2009 03:16 PM

perry birdies

Shag 04-12-2009 03:16 PM

WOW! Perry with the long birdie at 12 - that's huge...

BWillie 04-12-2009 03:16 PM

Perry's gonna win it.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2009 03:16 PM

I think Kenny Perry just won this thing.

Buck 04-12-2009 03:17 PM

Golf may be the only sport where less people root for the Underdog than the Favorite.

kstater 04-12-2009 03:18 PM

Cambell sticks it.

Bowser 04-12-2009 03:20 PM

Tiger just ****ed himself with that third shot.

Shag 04-12-2009 03:20 PM

Clutch tee shot by Perry. Barring a major collapse, this one's all his...

I don't really get it, but this is definitely true. No one had it worse than Jack Nicklaus in the early 60's. Even though he was a lot better than Palmer, everyone loved him so much that they'd give Jack endless shit, calling him fat boy and Nick-louse, etc.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2009 03:23 PM

Bye, Eldrick.

I would have to say that of all the shots Phil has ever hit, if he ever wanted one back aside from the 18th and Winged Foot, he'd probably pick that 9 iron into 12.

Phil not even ****ing close again. His putting is absolute shit.

Shag 04-12-2009 03:23 PM

Phil giving away strokes again...

Buck 04-12-2009 03:23 PM

Thats 3 extra strokes for Phil. He should win this thing instead he'll finish in the top 3.

the Talking Can 04-12-2009 03:26 PM

and the dynamic duo craps their pants

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2009 03:26 PM

Faldo is right. There's no reason to hit driver on 18.

smittysbar 04-12-2009 03:29 PM

Unless Perry lays down, this baby is over

They were both trying to win it all with one shot. Now they'll have to settle for top 5.

kstater 04-12-2009 03:30 PM

LMAO

You birdie 18 with your second shot. It's a difficult approach regardless, and you **** yourself ....

HOLY HOG SHIT.

That's gonna be a gif.

the Talking Can 04-12-2009 03:31 PM

wow

tiger walk of shame

kstater 04-12-2009 03:31 PM

I can now say I've hit a shot and looked like Tiger Woods doing it.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2009 03:32 PM

He hit it fat b/c it's an uphill bunker shot. It's the easiest shot in golf to hit fat.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2009 03:32 PM

Tiger can still make par from here. It's basically a pitch out.

Shag 04-12-2009 03:33 PM

Tiger was just playing a creative punch out... :)

Nice putt dickhead.

Shag 04-12-2009 03:35 PM

3 putt par by Perry. Doesn't want to put it away...

I've hated Kenny Perry ever since he watched Mark Brooks tie him in the booth at the PGA and was yukking it up instead of preparing for a playoff where he got fisted.

Shag 04-12-2009 03:39 PM

Disappointing finish by Phil and Tiger, after great rounds...

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2009 03:39 PM

Those were two of the most disappointing great rounds of golf you'll probably ever see.

Bowser 04-12-2009 03:40 PM

Campbell is going to sneak up and win this thing.

Yup, they shot 67/68 on Sunday at the Masters. Nothing to sneeze about.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2009 03:42 PM

Tiger had the 1000 yard stare going during that entire interview. LMAO

This thread is going to plummet with those two out of it.

smittysbar 04-12-2009 03:52 PM

lol thats no lie

Shag 04-12-2009 03:57 PM

I'm surprised Furyk didn't play better today - I thought he'd make a push...

Shag 04-12-2009 04:00 PM

Campbell playing like he wants to win this...

Bowser 04-12-2009 04:00 PM

Campbell damn near sank it with no bounce on that par three.

Bowser 04-12-2009 04:06 PM

Costly miss.

kstater 04-12-2009 04:11 PM

Kenny Perry just won the Masters with that shot.

smittysbar 04-12-2009 04:11 PM

Perry about knocked that in for an Ace

Shag 04-12-2009 04:11 PM

Perry puts it to 6" on 16 - that should do it...

the Talking Can 04-12-2009 04:12 PM

nice

That it what they criticize about his game, just can't keep it all together as of late.

kstater 04-12-2009 04:16 PM

Cambell would be -20 if he didn't have to play 17 and 18.

mlyonsd 04-12-2009 04:21 PM

You gotta love the guy in the pink shirt and funny hat. Good for him.

I don't like the guy at all but I respect what he's done this week. He's played very good golf up until that chip he hit as I was typing this.

Reverse jinx, FTW.

Nah. He is who he is. He's always been a guy who gets a slew of good finishes in majors but very rarely is in the lead late. He just grinds out T7s in majors on his leather ass.

KC_Connection 04-12-2009 04:29 PM

I like how they keep showing Tiger and Phil on the mini leaderboard to keep people interested.

KC_Connection 04-12-2009 04:30 PM

Is Kenny Perry going to choke on 18?

I don't think so...but...

Shag 04-12-2009 04:30 PM

Perry gives one back to make 18 more interesting...

KC_Connection 04-12-2009 04:31 PM

Kenny Perry might pull his driver like Phil at Winged Foot and drive it into the trees.

KC_Connection 04-12-2009 04:33 PM

or the bunker

Phil didn't hit a pull at Winged Foot. He hit a redonkulous push slice.

Look at that Perry.
Look at how stupid you are.

kstater 04-12-2009 04:33 PM

Yamamoto?

KC_Connection 04-12-2009 04:34 PM

Campbell has always been a choker in majors, too.

Let's go fatty Cabrera...beat Perry.

KC_Connection 04-12-2009 04:35 PM

Jim Furyk never makes charges in majors...always top 10s them, though.

Bowser 04-12-2009 04:36 PM

Well, can Perry punch put of the bunker for a par save?

kstater 04-12-2009 04:38 PM

How do you leave that shot short?

KC_Connection 04-12-2009 04:38 PM

Damn...Cabrera

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-12-2009 04:38 PM

That shot was Norman lite.

mlyonsd 04-12-2009 04:38 PM

blink...blink..blink

Shag 04-12-2009 04:38 PM

This is shaping up for a playoff...

KC_Connection 04-12-2009 04:39 PM

Which of these chokers is going to win?

kstater 04-12-2009 04:39 PM

Perry going to come in bogey bogey.

tk13 04-12-2009 04:39 PM

Erk. Perry's got work to do now.
