The Dolphins and Bills were missing star players. Their best.

Thuney is a star and one of our best, and Gay definitely plays a big role, but Mike Edward’s is probably our worst defender outside of Nnadi lol and that was pretty much it for us

Bryan Cook?

Jerrick Mckinnon?

As a Cyclone fan, I love Brock Purdy, but he does not hold up well under pressure. We have the cover guys that will allow Spags to bring pressure whenever he wants, and from where ever he wants.

I would be surprised if we don't force Purdy into at least 2 turnovers.

the 49ers weapons blow the ravens out of the water though. covering aiyuk and deebo will be our corners toughest test yet. but it all comes down to turdy and i have a good feeling we’ll confuse him and force some turnovers

If we can handle Reek and Waddle...

Chris Jones is +10,000 to win SB MVP.

His contract pays him if he is. You know his team mates and the media will know about this. You know they'll be tempted to vote on it...

The Chiefs are going to destroy the 49ers....

Spags against Brock Purdy? Yeah sign me up.

Block Bosa and we will move the ball at will on this defense, they're playing like hot garbage right now.

Reid and Spags have two weeks to prepare for Brock Purdy and a 49er defense that hasn’t been great the last two weeks.

I’m confident.

Cause we probably should. Unless Brock Purdy plays the game of his life, I don't see it for them.

Their defense is half of what Baltimore's was.

pugsnotdrugs19 01-29-2024 09:28 AM

Bet your ass Andy is gonna have some stuff cooked up to take advantage of Ward's weaknesses too. They did so last year in SF. MVS....

But I do expect us to handle them, and quite easily.

They are the 3rd best scoring defense because they play in a trash NFC. It's a mirage.

The Niners are like the anti-Ravens...Baltimore had a great (MVP level) QB and ok weapons, while SF has an ok QB and great weapons. And on the defensive side of the ball the Niners are not as good as Baltimore. Feel like this game will come down to Purdy's ability to go toe-to-toe with Mahomes. And Mahomes SHOULD get more time in the pocket as SF does not have great pass rushers besides Bosa.

Also, what Omenihu knows about SF is going to be BIG. I'm sure he'll give Andy some institutional knowledge about them that will help us.

I feel like Brock Purdy has shown enough to be considered more than just an "ok QB." He's currently one of the best in the game. I dont watch much of any football outside of Chiefs games but I watched a little bit of the 49ers Lions game and the broadcast kept talking about Purdy as if he was some kind of limited runner, but every time he tucked the ball and ran, he didn't look like someone who was "limited." I just kept wondering what it was they were looking at.

He's maybe a top 10 guy.

He's a poverty Alex Smith. He plays smart, he uses his legs if he has to, he doesn't typically make the big mistake. But he's not even as good as Smith because he doesn't actually have the ball placement that Smith had in his years here.

He has entire halves of football where he simply doesn't know where the ball is going.

He's an above average guy but nothing more than that.
