Heh.
And to some extent, I could see cooler heads prevailing and Mahomes looking back on the past season and perhaps putting more blame on himself than warranted (meaning, if EB was a major problem).... but yeah, end of the day, if EB was providing no value or obviously being a detriment, 100% he wouldn't be back.
And of course, Mahomes and EB don't have to love each other or be 100% on the same page all the time. That was of course the whole problem with the fan fiction... there were probably shreds of truth to it while completely ignoring how people can actually work together and still argue and disagree sometimes, and then be adult enough to realize there's still value in improving what's been built as opposed to going a different direction.
It would be like if Mahomes was at a basketball game and his girlfriend made a weird look and Twitter blew up and made up a story about that weird look.
