Reid is the football guru, the rest of you are just managing your 8th place fantasy football teams

Notice the people who are amped about the idea that Foles is the long term player are the same ones who were begging for Geno, murray, Daniels, and also defended Bowes lackluster play

Notice that most of the Smith supporters were 49ers fans before he came here.

A bargain at the QB spot allows teams to stack up and make a legitimate run.

You would prefer that over a blowout with Foles throwing 5TDs? :spock: That would possibly mean that Foles is a better QB. Maybe not but it would sure look like it. So you're saying you wouldn't want a possibly better QB because of the controversy? :shake:

Andy isn't going to bench a healthy Smith no matter how good Foles looks. This team has a lot of potential and a guy that can step in and keep us winning if Smith Goes down. We don't need a quarterback controversy. So yes. I would rather us barely win on a mediocre performance by Foles.

So this move begs the question, "Does the gameplan change?"

Will Reid still call the same plays but they will be executed differently? We have seen tons of footage open guys running free (See Pitt game) and the play results in a dump off or check down to a higher % play..

How will Reid handle this type of adjustment with Foles? Open up and let them hang out like a man? Or reign him in and play an even more controlled game?

He already said that he didn't change anything in the gameplan at Indy last week.

Then don't call Clay's post about him hoping that the defense gives up 24 points out.

Thank God we don't have to witness the shit show that would have been Aaron Murray or Tyler Bray starting as Alex Smith's back-up... even against a bad Jacksonville team.

Q: You were asked whether you had to cut back the game plan when Foles came in and you said no. Did he allow you to expand the game plan, maybe do some things that you couldn’t do with Smith?

Reid: No. Alex, I’m not sure we realize how good he is. We’ve opened this thing up further than maybe we’ve ever opened it up. He does a tremendous job. It’s a shame he didn’t have a chance to finish off the game plan because he would’ve had a ton of success with it. Not to take anything away from Nick. We didn’t have to cut a thing out for Nick coming in. That was a win-win for both guys. To think one would’ve done better than the other, I don’t believe that. If Alex would’ve been in, we would’ve done the same thing.
