Dorsey and Reid did the right thing getting Foles to be our backup. He knows the playbook and has chemistry with Maclin. Glad to see this team didn't suffer a loss with Smith going down with injury.

Again, your football knowledge is dog ****

Kapernick under Baugh was a'lot different then Kapernick under Tomsula

Smith also chocked the game away vs the NYG so it was still pretty fresh in 49ers fans minds.

He won't, however two head blows to turf like that and alex might have a mini vacation ahead. Head trauma is no joke.

I'm not completely on the Foles bandwagon, his style of play has some obvious drawbacks. I'm sure after Foles inevatibly throws an interception there would be a lot of fans calling for Alex to come back. I'm glad he looked good today, though.

With Foles, I think he realizes that he can sit behind a veteran QB and still get paid to learn...if done correctly, Reid will reward him with a year to prove himself for a full season in 2018 or 2019 when he turns 30.

No no, that game was all Kyle Williams' fault and you can't expect a QB to beat a good defense.

Who has more upside long term?

Smith or Foles?

Kaepernick under Harbaugh was a bum once other teams caught onto his style. Go watch the film.

The Rams offense is shit because Fisher believes in being a run oriented team without completely making the offense based on it (i.e:Having a legit fullback instead of a blocking TE). Austin, Britt, Kendricks, etc. are weapons that Foles had at his disposal to go along with Gurley.

Derek Anderson once threw 29 TDs to go along with 19 INTs in a season. Do you think that one fluke of a season means he should be starting?

Pretty sure his 27, 2 season was with Kelly as well. Not sure what caused his down seasons, but I watched a lot of him his first two seasons...enough to be convinced of his capabilities.

Now there will legit QB controversy and rightfully so Smith has is having one of his worse years Since the Baugh Era.

How does that dude expect to be taken seriously? Smith did enough to win that game and at receiver he had crabtree, a guy off the practice squad...brett swain???, and kyle williams a rookie.

What a dumb***. Headed to the ignore list

Foles's 2nd season was historically good.
