What's funny about it? I was pointing out just how stupid Bambi was for thinking NFL hall of famer's means anything in relation to college relevance.

I stated if that means something to him, since he used it as a talking point in KU's favor, that maybe he was curious about how many players each team has in the big boy league. And the sentence after I reiterated how meaningless that is to this discussion.

Am I forgetting somebody outside of Talib? Is that why it was funny?

And no rational Mizzou fan would argue this either.

Yesterday's Super Bowl included 2 KU players on rosters. There were 0 from Missouri.

This year's second team all-pro roster included 1 player from Kansas and 1 from Missouri.

Prison Bitch 02-03-2014 10:59 AM

It is really interesting that there's no banter during basketball season. If KU fans were like Mizzou fans (bitter, angry, jealous) they'd be talking shit all winter. And yet nobody cares to. It really says a lot about both fan bases. I don't see how anyone could dispute that.

As I noted, it would be silly to talk basketball crap with ku having a much better record. Similarly, it would be stupid for ku fan to talk about football given their dumpster fire of a team over the past several years.

After the SEC Championship embarrassment I thought MU fans deserved better. Plus since they left the conference I don't care about how their season goes.

For my MU friends I want more than anything for them to get to a Final Four but this year it looks like making the tourney might be accomplishment enough.

I forgot about Chris Harris, who had a pretty good and surprising season. I'm not sure I'd call him impact or a household name, but he's a quality NFL player in his young career.

The other guy has like 3 tackles in his career. Claiming him as evidence to KU having a presence in the NFL would be like me saying Chase Coffman and his 4 career catches mean Mizzou puts players in the big show.

I've stated many time over the past couple years that the talent at MU is slightly better than at Kansas right now. This is a tribute to Pinkle and his ability to find "diamonds in the rough". Hopefully for MU this trend is continuing because the players MU is recruiting right now are far from highly rated. Closer to the players Kansas is getting than other teams in the SEC.

Nice troll post. "Slightly better" is laughable and you know it. How many first round picks does Kansas have in the past 10 years? How many players drafted?

Missouri has won 85 games in the past 10 years. Kansas has won 51. There's a sizeable talent gap.

Of course, if you just make it the past 5 years or even past 10 years, things change quite a bit.

KU hoops are top 3 regardless of time period. MU basketball is probably top 30ish, even including the tail end of the Quin Snyder era.

MU football is top 15 in the past 5 and KU football is top 75ish (with 2-3x as many terrible seasons are great ones).

Strange how all that talent hasn't translated to the NFL.

If the talent is so close and comparable, how do you explain the discrepancy in records over the past "couple years"?

KU football record last 4 years: 9-39
MU football record last 4 years: 35-17

LMAO

Coaches have ZERO to do with the raw talent they're given. Got it.

(I know I shouldn't nibble at the bait....)

Bowser 02-03-2014 11:38 AM

And here we are, ass deep in basketball season, talking about the relevance of NFL players that had played college ball at either MU or KU.

Football trumps basketball 24/7, 365 days a year.

The talent on a team that finished the season #5 in both polls is slightly better than the talent on a team which has won 1 conference game in the past 4 years? The hell you say.

The Super Bowl was played yesterday. There were 2 KU players involved and 0 for MU. That's why we're talking about it.
