I think it was lack of involvement in the offense and the comparison to Coleman that got people all in a tizzy.

But yeah, very premature. Mostly just something to be upset about since ChiefsPlanet needs SOMETHING to be upset about.

Folks would prefer Coleman?!? Why?

If the trajectory keeps holding up, I’d bring this group back.

Hollywood, Hopkins, JuJu. Feel like Hopkins you’d want to manage his snaps anyways and JuJu at this point in his career is a perfect WR4/5 who knows the offense and does the dirty work. Then I’d probably draft someone as well for long term.

Tried to avoid all the posts that pointed out his mistakes but did so in a non-panicky way. I put Sassy's "He's getting worse!" alarmism in there because it's stupid to shit one's pants over a 2-3 week snapshot in a rookie season. I also put in anything that sounded like a big ol' boo boo bitchface.

Also, take a drink every time Tardian talks about men's asses.

ASS. AT this point last year when Rice was a rook, was when everyone was noticing that he was figuring out zones and soft spots and the chemistry was starting. Right now Worthy looks like ass.

Al Davis was obsessed by it as well when pursuing WRs. The Raiders would always draft fast WRs who couldn't do anything else but run a straight line.

I'd trade Worthy's speed for attributes like awareness, more size, and better hands.

But yes, he's a rookie so it's too early to pronounce him Mecole Hardman or Skyy Moore. If Hollywood Brown can come back, that should free up Worthy a lot more.

This is absolutely not true. Rashee was ascending at a damn near linear pace the whole season. By the time mid season rolled around he was absolutely finding soft spots in the zone and by seasons end was playing like a vet and was absolutely clutch in the playoffs.

Worthy had 0 catches for 0 yards last night and had a walk in touchdown that he absolutely just shit the bed on. The fact that it IS mental is EVEN WORSE.

The sideline route he didn't even get a single foot in bounds! That's atrocious FOR COLLEGE.

Yes I hope he gets it together but IT AINT LOOKING GOOD. So far dude has BEEN ASS.

I'm a bit worried about Worthy, too, I was expecting his name to be coming up more in games, especially with Brown/Rice out, hopefully he can learn some things from a very established vet receiver in DHOP, and even Juju

The NFL is separated by the mental game. I never said it wasn't fixable so that's a strawman. I'm saying, so far, he's not looking great. No one can say that he is because last night was ASSSSS. Straight dirty stank ass.

He's only getting a pass by some due to his draft status. So far, he's been super super mid.

Did we really manage to draft the worst one?

He and Hopkins could not be more different players, so if you're trying to insinuate that Hopkins is taking all his targets that's bupkis. If he was developing properly he'd be ramping up right about now to at least a semi reliable 3rd option in the offense. He isn't, though.

Agree 100%. Pretty clear Worthy is on the same rookie year trajectory as Rice. Really starting to emerge late in their rookie years. Rashee was playing like an All Pro in year 2 prior to the injury. Id love to see Mahomes have YEARS to work with the same group of receivers. Manning with Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark type longevity. Their timing was freaking impeccable in their peak years.

No, it was typical CP overreaction to a 21 year old rookie that was thrown into the fire having some growing pains fo ****s sake. Maybe learn something from it?

You had a stroke over Worthy not getting both feet in bounds.

Not even close, assturd. He's had 2 mess ups that deserved real criticism, but really that's it.

2 dumb Worthy narratives going back to the draft process have officially been disproven:

1. He's just a gadget guy.

2. He has drop issues.

That's a pretty routine thing even for college guys.

Here's the thing - rookies either never clean that shit up, like a Moore, or Toney, or they turn into a Rice.

Worthy is doing the latter.

I think it's ok to point out when a rookie is def struggling and then when he seems to be turning the corner.

He and Rice seemed to have turned the corner at very similar times during their rookie season.

I hope that we get to see them opposte of each other for years to come.

No he had some other struggles earlier but ok pussy

Lol. A lot of people hated Hill his rookie season (aside from his past ). I remember Clay and a few others calling him another useless gadget guy. His numbers for his rookie year were okay. 61 catches for 593 yards and 6 TD. It took him a couple of years to break out. People saw that happen with Hill, yet they were digging on Worthy and not really giving him a chance. Worthy may never live up to what Hill is. Hill is elite. But Worthy currently has 51 catches for 559 yards and 5 TD. Really close to what we got from Hill as a rookie. I'm pretty excited for his future.
