Yikes, this one aged quite poorly.

Will some of you guys truly never figure out you root for arguably the most dominant sports franchise in the world right now? How much more is it going to take? If you’re not careful, you’re going to miss it all worrying about when it will end. Some of you dudes have severe trauma from this team. :)

And I don't really want to see us draft Scateboo...he does nothing for me.

If we wanted a back like him we could have had Schrader last year.

"Game changer"?

There's maybe ONE. Maybe.

But there are a variety of quality skillsets all over the place. Tuten, for example, was the fastest at 4.32 in Indianapolis and is a 3rd/4th projection.

Yeah Cam ran something like a 4.55, so thats a big old nope for me

Kareem Hunt ran a 4.6 at the combine. Seemed to be a pretty good back for the two years of his prime that he was here.

You don't have to love Skattebo, I'm just saying there are a lot of ways to get yards on the ground, lightning speed is one of them but not the only one.

If it's speed you want, Tuten is your guy.

Avoid running backs who make their yardage by being "physical"

That doesn't last in the NFL.

Get guys who make people miss.

Derrick Henry says hi.

There are a TON of backs that are not speedsters that are good players.

I like RJ Harvey in this draft as a mid rounder. I think Andy would have a blast drawing stuff up for this kid.

Outliers are outliers.

There are several possibilities. Several. It's a good, deep draft at RB.

I think we may take a RB in the 3rd.

Josh Jacobs? Nick Chubb? Kareem Hunt? Marshawn Lynch?

It's not the outlier you're making it out to be though. There have been plenty of big backs that don't run quite as fast but make a living off of yards after contact.

staylor26 04-04-2025 07:34 AM

Sure would suck to have a James Conner or David Montgomery!

I don't care about making a runningback 'last'.

Churn and burn. Get 4 years, onto the next guy.

Derrick Henry is the most dominant power back in NFL history and a complete unicorn.

I don't think he's really a fair reference point.

Sure

And they're always hurt.

Sure, but as we've seen with Pacheco, sometimes they can't even last 4 years when they play that way.

That's literally not true about any of the backs I mentioned. At least not any more than normal.

Do smaller guys not get hurt? Achane ring a bell? RBs in general get hurt all of the time. What a silly argument.
